Road rage

[edit]

@Hexafluoride: It isn't clear why you don't consider road rage homicide when, for example, crime of passion remains on the template. Thewellman (talk) 21:30, 6 February 2017 (UTC)[reply]

@Thewellman: I think the articles do a good job of explaining why. The lede of crimes of passion states "[...] a violent crime, especially homicide"; while road rage is aggressive driving behavior. Aggressive driving that leads to homicide is vehicular manslaughter, or vehicle-ramming attack, depending on the intent. —Hexafluoride Ping me if you need help, or post on my talk 22:18, 6 February 2017 (UTC)[reply]
I agree, most incidents of road rage never go beyond assault, it shouldn't be classed automatically as homicide. Simon Burchell (talk) 22:59, 6 February 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Assisted suicide as form of suicide?

[edit]

I was debating whether assisted suicide should be within the "suicide" section, simply because assisted suicide is generally requested by the person requesting a peaceful death themselves. Casspedia (talk) 12:18, 11 May 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Different version on different pages

[edit]

The version on some pages doesn't include abortion but rather only foeticide? I'm thinking this needs a discussion. Valereee (talk) 16:08, 22 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]

I don't understand how Templates work enough to understand why: "version on some pages doesn't include abortion but rather only foeticide" - but this is a version I support. (I recently removed it from this template.) While abortion may be scientifically termed "homicide" just like killing in self defense is termed "justifiable homicide", considering that standard and normal connotations of "homicide" are "wrongful or immoral or bad killing", in my opinion, abortion should not be included in the homicide template. ---Avatar317(talk) 21:33, 22 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Okay, as a precursor, I'm going to remove that from the template. We'll se what results. Valereee (talk) 20:43, 24 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Yeah. Not in it now. That means someone has been I don't know what. Valereee (talk) 20:45, 24 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Would it be better for Androcide and Femicide to be on this list or a list of hate crimes?

[edit]

Very briefly while looking for examples of various methods of homicide, I noticed that Femicide and Androcide were not on the sidebar's list. I think it would be beneficial to add under the "murder" category or "other" category. I know that Gendercide is included in the "Other" section and think they should be added in parentheses next to it. Otherwise, I also thought it might be beneficial to add a new category for hate crimes specifically (and move Lynching, Femicide and Genocide along with any other homicides that usually have hate behind them to said list, but I know that that may be controversial to some. Any thoughts? ToxicCatnip (talk) 15:45, 9 December 2022 (UTC)[reply]

"Diversion murder"

[edit]

I'm not sure whether there is already an article on "diversion murder". For instance, ten people are deliberately killed even though only one victim is the actual target of the perpretator. The other nine are only killed in order to distract the police investigators on what is the actual motive of the murder. The police then may mistakenly consider it to be a terrorist attack or a lust murder. One example is in the 2012 film Jack Reacher.--79.251.249.80 (talk) 20:27, 26 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]
