Template talk:IATA members

Virgin Australia/Blue

[edit]

Is there a particular reason that Virgin Australia is listed on the template as Virgin Blue? I would have assumed that this was just because it was yet to be updated, but the template uses a pipelink to Virgin Australia for the entry. Does anyone know if there’s a good reason not to change the name to Virgin Australia? WikitorrensT 01:12, 15 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]

The mass of edits by User:Free ottoman in November 2012 appears to be complete nonsense: the IATA regions were incorrect, and many of the airlines listed were either not IATA members (e.g. Westjet), or in some cases had ceased to exist a long time ago (e.g. Air Canada Tango). I've done a mass revert for now, but will be checking the IATA website (http://www.iata.org/about/members/Pages/airline-list.aspx) for an up-to-date list. --RFBailey (talk) 16:16, 12 January 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Remove Germania, they went bankrupt in 2019. Remove InterSky, they went bankrupt in 2015. Remove Malmö Aviation, they are now named Braathens Regional Aviation, they are already in this list. Remove NextJet, they went bankrupt in 2018. Remove Niki, they merged into Lauda in 2017. Remove PrivatAir, they went bankrupt in 2018. 213.127.113.47 (talk) 12:36, 17 March 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Partly done: Made requested changes except flybe (still an IATA member despite bankruptcy) and Malmö (piped to Braathens already). The Current Airline Members page of the IATA was used to verify these changes. Eggishorn (talk) (contrib) 21:33, 18 March 2020 (UTC)[reply]

This list has not been updated. For Example: Volga-Dnepr Airlines, Singapore Cargo, and Yemenia are no longer IATA members, and Bamboo and SpiceJet are new IATA members.

@Dinoscool3:  Not done: it's not clear what changes you want to be made. Please mention the specific changes in a "change X to Y" format and provide a reliable source if appropriate. For example, which airlines should be added to (and removed from) each section? Thanks! GoingBatty (talk) 02:00, 27 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]
@Dinoscool3:  Done Bamboo was already added, and SpiceJet is now added. See iata list for current members. --Funandtrvl (talk) 06:50, 21 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]

AnadoluJet must be included to member list of IATA under European division as it is subsidiary of Turkish Airlines and operates international flights. Thank you. 78.185.28.218 (talk) 19:08, 29 October 2021 (UTC) Please include these airlines to IATA European region member list: Air ACT, AnadoluJet (Turkish Airlines subsidiary), Tailwind Airlines, MNG Airlines, Turkish Cargo (Turkish Airlines subsidiary), ULS Airlines Cargo. Thank you. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 78.185.28.218 (talk) 19:29, 29 October 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Not done: please provide reliable sources that support the change you want to be made. Heartmusic678 (talk) 12:54, 2 November 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Relevant to above conversation, I found some of the mentioned airlines listed in IATA web page: https://www.iata.org/en/about/members/airline-list/?search=turkey&ordering=Relevance

Hope this'd be beneficial. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 76.89.117.133 (talkcontribs)

Partly done: I've added MNG as it's listed on IATA. Others need better sources - corp sites are WP:SELFPUBLISHED. If Anadolu uses Turkish Air's, Turkish Air entry seems enough. --Hemanthah (talk) 06:05, 28 December 2021 (UTC)[reply]
