Psychosis and adjustment disorder are NOT PDs.
[edit]Psychosis and adjustment disorder are currently included in this template, but neither is classified as a personality disorder in the DSM-5 or ICD-11. Their inclusion seems inconsistent and potentially misleading.
- Psychosis is a symptom state (e.g., hallucinations, delusions), not a personality disorder. While some PDs (e.g., schizotypal, borderline) may involve transient psychotic-like features, psychosis itself is distinct.
- Adjustment disorder is a situational, short-term response to stress, lacking the enduring traits that define PDs. In fact, "personality disorder" is not mentioned even once in the article.
The template already includes some historical or controversial PD concepts, but psychosis and adjustment disorder have never been considered PDs. Unless there is strong justification, I propose their permanent removal for accuracy; regardless of future opinions on this matter, I will remove these two from the template effective immediately.
