Color

[edit]

That red is way too vibrant. I think for the size of this template it's a bit much on the eyes, and something a bit more subtler should be used.  BIGNOLE   (Question?)  (What I do)  23:57, 6 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Wow just seen it and I think it has burnt into my retinas. A blue or a grey would seem best. (Emperor 00:01, 7 March 2007 (UTC))[reply]
Are you after a red color? Because, changing to certain color backgrounds and not changing text color can cause problems too. The burdundy-esque color you have now doesn't contrast well with the text, it makes it hard to read clearly. I suggest Category:Shades of red, if red is what you are interested it using. Otherwise, the List of colors page will help you have other variants.  BIGNOLE   (Question?)  (What I do)  00:22, 7 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]
How about Tea green? Martians? Green? Tea green is white with a hint of green. Give it a shot. (Emperor 01:17, 7 March 2007 (UTC))[reply]
Oh yeah, that's much easier on the eyes, and the text comes in clear too. Also, I like the "allusion" to the Martians. Subtle.  BIGNOLE   (Question?)  (What I do)  01:51, 7 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Yeah that works fine. (Emperor 02:07, 7 March 2007 (UTC))[reply]

Formatting

[edit]

Could I suggest using two columns which would reduce the height? Also add in the hide fucntionality. I've worked on these: Template:Alien, Template: Judge Dredd. They use the formatting I suggest and work OK accordingly. I am familiar with the code and can sort it out if it was given the thumbs up. (Emperor 00:01, 7 March 2007 (UTC))[reply]

I've added the template headers (navigation and hiding) and converting things to CSS. As mentioned above moving to 2 columns (as was done by a previous editor) has really helped tighten things up and reduced the vertical height. (Emperor 01:14, 16 March 2007 (UTC))[reply]

Talking About Other Martian objects

[edit]

The template lists every Martian object other than the cylinders. Maybe someone could fix that by writing an article on it. Montgomery' 39 13:49, 13 July 2008 (UTC)
