Upamaka is a village in Nakkapalle mandal of Anakapalli district of Andhra Pradesh in India, where an ancient temple of Lord Venkateswara Swamy is present. Upamaka, is a small village very much like a Minnow.
History
There are no places like this, as the word "Upamaka" implies. According to legend, the king of Kandregula, Sri Krishna Bhupala, built this temple in the East Godavari District in the 6th century.Garudadri is the location of this temple (Hill area). The Lord is seated on his horse, facing North, with his consort Goddess Lakshmi Devi. Sri Srimannarayana Tridandi Pedda Jeeyar Swamy installed a Ramasthoopam in 1964. His Sthoopam is one of India’s 108 Ramasthoopas.
The temple’s history is explained in the Brahma Vaivarta Puranam, also known as “Garudachala Mahatmayam,” and in a treatise by poet Brown. This tract is currently available at the “Kannimara” Library in Chennai. This Kshethram is one of the 108 sacred Vaishnava Abhimana Kshethrams, according to Sri Ramanuja. Simhachalam is known as “Tharsyadri Simhachale” after this. This Kshethram is thought to date from 1017 A.D. to 1137 A.D. Lord Sri Venkateswara resides at the top of “Garudadri Hill.”
To the viewers yonder, the Hill resembles the shape of “Garuda.” The Lord gives Bakthakoti “Darshan ” while seated on his horse alongside “Lakshmi,” the Horse facing north (Devotees). Underneath the hill is a temple dedicated to “Sri Venugopal Swamy.”The sage Narada is said to have created the temple’s “Prathista ” according to the temple’s mythology. Because of the pervade of this location, Sri Venugopala Swamy is well-known. Swamy affectionately refers to Upmaka Kshetram as the “Place of Pavalimpu” (Rest).
In other words, it is a place of rest for the LORD. How fortunate Upmaka Kshetram is to be endowed with this divine favour. Lord Venkateswara – Upamaka guards each fan’s expertise with invisible arms and fulfils their desires. If they have the opportunity to see Lord Venkateswara, they will develop an unspoken bond with Upamaka. Such is the lord’s charisma and magic.
Significance of Upamaka Sri Venkateswara Swamy Temple Sri Venugopala Swamy is the temple’s Kshetrapalaka. Munis fervently prayed for Liberation at the end of Dwarayuga, according to legend. Garuda asks Lord Sri Krishna to rest his head on his shoulders. In order to keep the word, Lord settled on Garuda hills in Upamaka village. It is blessed because it is the home of “SRI VENKATESWARA,” the Lord of Lords. It is holy because it is a magnificent ancient temple.
“SWAYAMBHOO” is the name of the character. It’s an “APADA MOKKULA” location. Upamaka refers to the fact that there is no other option. This location’s prominence extends throughout the region. Any earnest prayer results in instant blessings. It is a strong belief, nay, practical expertise of one and all. The Lord is referred to as a “PROGENY” giver. Munis fervently prayed for emancipation at the end of Dwapara Yuga. Lord Srikrishna was also urged by Garuda to rest on his “Sirassu” indefinitely. To keep the word alive, the Lord descended on Upamaka village’s “Garuda Parvatha.” Shepherds who performed daily Pooja and Naivedyam made the public aware of the existence of god. Sri Krishna Bhupaludu, king of Kandregula Sansthanam in East Godavari Dist, constructed the temple in the sixth century A.D.It is mentioned in the Kshetra Mahatyam.
Rituals at Upamaka Venkateswara Swamy Temple Darshanam is open to all devotees from 6:00 a.m. to 12.30 p.m. and again from 4:00 p.m. to 7.30 p.m. every day.From 7.30 a.m. to 10.30 a.m., and 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m., Temple on the Hill is open. Every day, perform pooja with astothram and sahasram.
