Beachy Amish Page

Hello, I haven't been very active recently, but wanted to probe your brain about why the Beachy Amish page was moved to the subgroups page. To the best of my knowledge, and the empirical evidence I've been able to find, Beachy's are extremely reticent to be called Amish.

I think they need their own article again (but admittedly, it needs to be of higher quality than it was previously).

I agree. The only reasons for merging Beachy Amish Mennonite to Subgroups of Amish are small size and small number of sources. So I had saved redirect pages of Beachy Amish Mennonite and other Amish subgroups for future. If someone can expand it with higher quality information, it will be separate article again. Hi, Great article that you wrote about the Amish life in the modern world - I used some of the material from your article for an article on Modern conveniences.

Question for you: I see several citations for a Kraybill book from 2001 - but I'm not sure what book that might be. Here's a search that brought up several books. Could one of these be the book you referenced? I need it for a couple of references I have in the modern conveniences article. (I'll put this on my watchlist for the moment, so you can just respond here if you'd like).

Thanks you too for your interest. But really I am not an author of main text of Amish life in the modern world, but I was only separator of it. Amish life in the modern world was divided from Amish due to Wikipedia page size recommendations. See version before split here.

Citation styles

I appreciate your efforts but please stop systematically changing article citation styles as you did at Mechanical filter. This is irritating to those who contribute to the article who are then forced to use a different style and there is no single approved citation style on Wikipedia. WikiProject assessment tags for talk pages

Thank you for your recent articles, including Maria Moravskaya, which I read with interest. When you create a new article, can you add the WikiProject assessment templates to the talk of that article? See the talk page of the article I mentioned for an example of what I mean. Usually it is very simple, you just add something like {{WikiProject Keyword}} to the article's talk, with keyword replaced by the associated WikiProject (ex. if it's a biography article, you would use WikiProject Biography; if it's a United States article, you would use WikiProject United States, and so on). You do not have to rate the article if you do not want to, others will do it eventually. Those templates are very useful, as they bring the articles to a WikiProject attention, and allow them to start tracking the articles through Wikipedia:Article alerts and other tools. For example, WikiProject Poland relies on such templates to generate listings such as Article Alerts, Popular Pages, Quality and Importance Matrix and the Cleanup Listing. Thanks to them, WikiProject members are more easily able to defend your work from deletion, or simply help try to improve it further. Soviet Aviation Task Force Invitation

Hi! I noticed you are fluent in both Russian and English and was hoping you would join the Soviet Aviation Task Force and translate some of our missing articles into English. Many of the articles on the list are Heroes of the Soviet Union that have articles in many languages except English, and others on the list are major plane crashes that have yet to be articles on English Wiki. We also have many stubs that can easily be expanded through translation from Russian. I really hope you can join our task force and assist in translating. Hello! Voting in the 2019 Arbitration Committee elections is now open until 23:59 on Monday, 2 December 2019. All eligible users are allowed to vote. Users with alternate accounts may only vote once.

The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to impose binding solutions to disputes between editors, primarily for serious conduct disputes the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the authority to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment.
