[edit]

I noticed that you are part of Category:Wikipedians against notability.

I would like to invite you to join the Article Rescue Squadron. Although Rescue Squadron members do not share any official position on notability, and are simply focused on rescuing articles for deletion, you may find our project matches your vision of Wikipedia.

Caveat: I am writing this as a wikipedian, not as a representative of Article Rescue Squadron. Ikip (talk) 19:52, 7 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for the invite! Looks like an excellent project. I'll be sure to check it out. --Alinnisawest,Dalek Empress (extermination requests here) 19:55, 7 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]

AdventureQuest Worlds

[edit]

I know that you are a very respectable person wikipedian, but I really do think that we need that extra section on the Main Plot. I don't agree with you that less is better but I understand your thinking. For example, look at the Adventure Quest page. Even though i didn't play aq i was intrested in their detailed storyline. Just giving you an explation for why i undid your edit.

User:Jakcer (talk) 06:39, 12 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]

AQ and AQW can't be compared, though. AQ has a long, extensive, complicated story. AQW doesn't have any story at all, so far. So there's no need to have that extra section. That actually keeps being the problem in the MQ article- we keep updating the plot, and pretty soon the section just becomes overwhelming. So I'm not going to revert your edits, but I just wanted to explain why putting more story in the AQW article is not a good idea. At some point, when AQW has just as long and complicated of a story as AQ, we can have a long plot section again. --Alinnisawest,Dalek Empress (extermination requests here) 14:05, 12 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Ok. I will try to keep the plot short and simple. Just to tell you, I think that they are working a lot on the plot for AQW so get ready to edit.

Hi. :)

[edit]

Hey there, great userpage, sure brought me back to a more simpler time in gaming. Do you write IF? I wrote one a long time ago using Inform but it really sucked. Anyways, have a great day. OlEnglish (Talk) 06:32, 16 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Hi! Nice to find another fan! I've tried my hand at a few things in TADS, although I'm ashamed to say I sort of never finished much of anything... I really need to get back to work on some of those projects. Thanks for dropping by! --Alinnisawest,Dalek Empress (extermination requests here) 14:25, 16 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Speedy deletion tag of Dream Girl(2009 film)

[edit]

Hey I noticed you applied an A1 no context tag to this page. It doesn't meet that criterion, nor any of the speedy deletion criteria, so I have removed the tag. If you sitll believe it should be deleted feel free to AfD it, however I believe it is worthy of an article.--Pattont/c 15:47, 16 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]

All right, I'll accept that decision. I do think the article needs a great deal of work, but in retrospect you're correct- it really doesn't fall under any speedy deletion criterion. --Alinnisawest,Dalek Empress (extermination requests here) 17:19, 16 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Take down vacation sign?

[edit]

This is just me wondering what that vacation alert thing on the top of the page is for. It's precisely: 03:29, 18 March 2009 (UTC) already!

I suppose you were going to take it down but didn't have the time? :P

Improper accusation

[edit]

Hey dude, before you start giving hints and "strong suggestions" regarding vandalism, You should pretty much make sure you've got the right person in the first place. You left me this message on my talk page (I'm not reproducing the image and all the formatting like bold text and all that):

Please refrain from making unconstructive edits to Wikipedia, as you did to AdventureQuest Worlds. Your edits appear to constitute vandalism and have been reverted. If you would like to experiment, please use the sandbox. Thank you. --Alinnisawest,Dalek Empress (extermination requests here) 21:38, 22 April 2009 (UTC)

Just so you know:

  • I reverted vandalism, which means I actually made this place better, not worse;
  • There was vandalism afterwards, and you reverted the version back to my version, which means it was pretty much okay, don't you think?
  • You can view my actual contribution here.

I am very much irritated by your improper and unjustified accusations right now, and I feel as though you should either practise your stuff a bit (like shooting the right duck for instance), or simply let others (say, more accurate shooters) do it instead of you.

Seigneur101 (talk) 22:30, 22 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Before you start wildly throwing accusations about, consider the situation a bit more carefully. Because I reverted back to your revision, I obviously didn't have a problem with yours. Which would lead one to the conclusion that, oh, maybe there's a slight chance that because your username and the vandal's usernames were right next to each other on the history, I accidentally went to your talk page instead of the vandals?
It might interest you to know that this was, in fact, the case. If you didn't vandalise something and the history of a page implies no one thought you did, then before jumping to conclusions about someone's incapability to use technology, you should probably consider alternatives. No need to insult others' intelligence. Oh, and you do realize you can remove messages from your talk page, don't you? --Alinnisawest,Dalek Empress (extermination requests here) 01:05, 23 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Sars. And now it's on your talk page, uglying it up. Hate to butt in, but perhaps you should delete this section later too. You know, after you're done with it.
On another note, the AQW has been bomboarded with vandalism recently... hmm...
7h3 0N3 7h3 \/4Nl)4L5 Pl-l34R ( t / c ) 04:31, 25 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Meh, I won't do anything with this section until the next time I archive this page... which, considering the rate at which I use it, will probably be next year! But it's fine, I don't mind people seeing it. I made a mistake, and I'm not going to hide it. And about AQW, you think we need to apply for page protection? I've been noticing a lot of vandalism myself... --Alinnisawest,Dalek Empress (extermination requests here) 12:40, 25 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]
There's been tons of vandalism on the Artix Entertainment-related articles recently... [1]; [2]; [3]; [4]; [5]; and others by Amith1776; [6]; [7]; [8]; [9]; [10]; [11]; [12]; [13]; [14]; and this one on MechQuest: [15]. It's starting to scare me... I'm not sure which action we should take, but a semi-protect would probably be in order...
7h3 0N3 7h3 \/4Nl)4L5 Pl-l34R ( t / c ) 23:41, 26 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Ugh, this is getting ridiculous! I submitted AQ and AQW for semi-protection, hopefully it'll go through. --Alinnisawest,Dalek Empress (extermination requests here) 00:20, 27 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]

AQW Edit response

[edit]

I just wanted to list who is in the army of each Lord of Chaos. Rtkat3 (talk) 7:42, 8 May 2009 (UTC)

If you want to include the minions like Slugfit, then yes. I just discovered that Escherion wanted the Runix Cube so that Drakath can awaken the Lake Hydra: the first of the Chaos Beasts. Rtkat3 (talk) 10:19, 9 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Randomly morbidly interesting

[edit]

I don't know if you know it, but evidently you responded to one of the few edits by the guy who is suspected of the shooting at the Holocaust museum. See [16] and United States Holocaust Memorial Museum shooting. Strange stuff. Remember (talk) 16:51, 11 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]

That's really crazy... someone else mentioned this to me, but I hadn't even seen the news about the shooting yet! --Alinnisawest,Dalek Empress (extermination requests here) 20:52, 11 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Orphaned non-free media (File:RobinaHood.jpg)

[edit]

Thanks for uploading File:RobinaHood.jpg. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'file' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "File" from the dropdown box. Note that all non-free media not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. Melesse (talk) 06:42, 13 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Titin redirects listed at Redirects for discussion

[edit]

I've started a discussion to address the redirects associated with Titin. Since you edited one or other of the redirects at some point, or discussed it on one of the talk pages, I wanted to notify you of the redirect discussion. Carcharoth (talk) 11:54, 23 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]

You are now a Reviewer

[edit]

Hello. Your account has been granted the "reviewer" userright, allowing you to review other users' edits on certain flagged pages. Pending changes, also known as flagged protection, is currently undergoing a two-month trial scheduled to end 15 August 2010.

Reviewers can review edits made by users who are not autoconfirmed to articles placed under pending changes. Pending changes is applied to only a small number of articles, similarly to how semi-protection is applied but in a more controlled way for the trial. The list of articles with pending changes awaiting review is located at Special:OldReviewedPages.

When reviewing, edits should be accepted if they are not obvious vandalism or BLP violations, and not clearly problematic in light of the reason given for protection (see Wikipedia:Reviewing process). More detailed documentation and guidelines can be found here.

If you do not want this userright, you may ask any administrator to remove it for you at any time. Courcelles (talk) 04:43, 20 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page. New deal for page patrollers

[edit]

Hi Alinnisawest,

In order to better control the quality of new pages, keep out the spam, and welcome the genuine newbies, the current system we introduced in 2011 is being updated and improved. The documentation and tutorials have also been revised and given a facelift. Most importantly a new user group New Page Reviewer has been created.

Under the new rule, you may find that you are temporarily unable to mark new pages as reviewed. However, this is nothing to worry about - most current experienced patrollers are being accorded the the new right without the need to apply, and if you have significant previous experience of patrolling new pages, we strongly encourage you to apply for the new right as soon as possible - we need all the help we can get, and we are now providing a dynamic, supportive environment for your work.

Find out more about this exiting new user right now at New Page Reviewers and be sure to read the new tutorial before applying. MediaWiki message delivery (talk) 04:28, 13 November 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Notice

The file File:Really Colorful Barnstar.png has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Orphaned personal file, no foreseeable encyclopedic use

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated files}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the file's talk page.

Please consider addressing the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated files}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and files for discussion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion.
