Food names
[edit]Food names are almost never capitalised under Wikipedia’s style guidelines. There is no basis to capitalise “misal pav”. Sometimes a food name includes a proper noun (a specific person or place, or a trademarked name of a thing) and so those specific words are capitalised when one refers to, for example, oysters Rockefeller (which was named for John D. Rockefeller), Thousand Island dressing (which supposedly was created in the Thousand Islands, New York resort area), and Velveeta (a trademark). Commonplace food names don’t take capitals. I just had falafel and hummus for a snack, not “Falafel and Hummus.” Thanks for your attention to this detail in the future. Julietdeltalima (talk) 01:08, 15 October 2023 (UTC)
