If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Wikipedia talk:Articles for creation/LaptopMD+, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page seems to be unambiguous advertising which only promotes a company, product, group, service or person and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become encyclopedic. Please read the guidelines on spam and Wikipedia:FAQ/Organizations for more information.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, you can place a request here. j⚛e deckertalk 17:58, 13 June 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Welcome to Wikipedia. Because we have a policy against usernames which give the impression that the account represents a group, organization or website, I have blocked this account; please take a moment to create a new account with a username that represents only yourself as an individual and which complies with our username policy.

You should also read our conflict of interest guideline and be aware that promotional editing is not acceptable regardless of the username you choose.

If your username does not represent a group, organization or website, you may appeal this username block by adding the text {{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}} below this notice.

You may simply create a new account, but you may prefer to change your username to one that complies with our username policy, so that your past contributions are associated with your new username. If you would prefer to change your username, you may appeal this username block by adding the text {{unblock-un|new username|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}} below this notice. Thank you. Hello Arthurlmd, I'm Anton.bersh and I saw your comment on Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/LaptopMD. That discussion is archived, so you are unlikely to get any meaningful response there. Could you please elaborate what your concern is? Thanks, you can reach me here or on my talk page at User talk:Anton.bersh. Anton.bersh (talk) 17:12, 22 February 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Your comment said "we are not here to advertise, just for informational purposed please help" that is exactly what advertising is! A Wikipedia article summarizes what independent reliable sources with significant coverage have chosen on their own to say about a topic showing how they meet the special Wikipedia definition of a notable business. Hello Arthurlmd. The nature of your edits gives the impression you have an undisclosed financial stake in promoting a topic, but you have not complied with Wikipedia's mandatory paid editing disclosure requirements. Paid advocacy is a category of conflict of interest (COI) editing that involves being compensated by a person, group, company or organization to use Wikipedia to promote their interests. Undisclosed paid advocacy is prohibited by our policies on neutral point of view and what Wikipedia is not, and is an especially serious type of COI; the Wikimedia Foundation regards it as a "black hat" practice akin to black-hat search-engine optimization.

Paid advocates are very strongly discouraged from direct article editing, and should instead propose changes on the talk page of the article in question if an article exists. If the article does not exist, paid advocates are extremely strongly discouraged from attempting to write an article at all. At best, any proposed article creation should be submitted through the articles for creation process, rather than directly.

Regardless, if you are receiving or expect to receive compensation for your edits, broadly construed, you are required by the Wikimedia Terms of Use to disclose your employer, client and affiliation. You can post such a mandatory disclosure to your user page at User:Arthurlmd. The template {{Paid}} can be used for this purpose – e.g. in the form: {{paid|user=Arthurlmd|employer=InsertName|client=InsertName}}. If I am mistaken – you are not being directly or indirectly compensated for your edits – please state that in response to this message. Otherwise, please provide the required disclosure. In either case, do not edit further until you answer this message. Theroadislong (talk) 17:35, 22 February 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Please do not put questions on a user's user page; that's what talk pages are for. And likewise, it's not a good idea to post email addresses. Drmies (talk) 17:48, 22 February 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Please refrain from posting your email on Wikipedia pages

[edit]

Hello @Arthurlmd: I noticed that you have pasted your email on my page User:Anton.bersh a short while ago (the page was deleted since). Please don't do that again, Wikipedia articles and pages are not a suitable place for personal information. If you want to use email on Wikipedia, please see WP:EMAIL and set your email in your account settings. Also, Wikipedia rules forbid coordinating editing activity outside of Wikipedia, all editing discussions should happen on the appropriate talk pages. I personally never emailed any Wikipedia users and have no desire to do it or answer emails from other editors. Anton.bersh (talk) 18:13, 22 February 2022 (UTC)[reply]

@Anton.bersh: Could you please point us to the "Wikipedia rules [which] forbid coordinating editing activity outside of Wikipedia"? Thanks! GoingBatty (talk) 20:03, 22 February 2022 (UTC)[reply]
WP:STEALTH has relevant content, but it's not actually forbidden to coordinate editing off Wikipedia as far as I am aware. Theroadislong (talk) 20:11, 22 February 2022 (UTC)[reply]
I was mostly concerned about Template:Uw-agf-sock which states: "Your editing pattern indicates that you may be using multiple accounts or coordinating editing with people outside Wikipedia. Our policy on multiple accounts usually does not allow this, and users who misuse multiple accounts may be blocked from editing." So using email is not strictly forbidden, only coordinating for sockpuppetry is. I'm not sure, I always used talk pages. Anton.bersh (talk) 01:12, 24 February 2022 (UTC)[reply]
