Welcome!

[edit]

Hello and welcome to Wikipedia. Thank you for your contributions. We appreciate encyclopedic contributions, but some of your recent contributions, such as your edit to the page Brother Speed Motorcycle Club, have removed content without a good reason to do so. Content on Wikipedia should not be removed just because you disagree with it or because you think it's wrong, unless the claim is not verifiable. Instead, you should consider expanding the article with noteworthy and verifiable information of your own, citing reliable sources when you do so. If you'd like to experiment with the wiki's syntax, please do so in the sandbox rather than in articles. The following links will help you begin editing on Wikipedia:

The Wikipedia tutorial is a good place to start learning about Wikipedia. If you have any questions, see the help pages, add a question to the village pump or ask me on my talk page. By the way, you can sign your name on Talk and discussion pages using four tildes, like this: ~~~~ (the software will replace them with your signature and the date). Again, welcome! Managing a conflict of interest

[edit]

Information icon Hello, Brb232. We welcome your contributions, but if you have an external relationship with the people, places or things you have written about on the page Brother Speed Motorcycle Club, you may have a conflict of interest (COI). Editors with a conflict of interest may be unduly influenced by their connection to the topic. See the conflict of interest guideline and FAQ for organizations for more information. We ask that you:

In addition, you are required by the Wikimedia Foundation's terms of use to disclose your employer, client, and affiliation with respect to any contribution which forms all or part of work for which you receive, or expect to receive, compensation. See Wikipedia:Paid-contribution disclosure.

Also, editing for the purpose of advertising, publicising, or promoting anyone or anything is not permitted. I understand you are trying to go about it in the right way and that it can be overwhelming. The best thing for you to do is to propose the changes on the talk page so that a third-party can be involved. Best! Lenny Marks (talk) 22:14, 16 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you Mr. Marks. I am simply getting some falsehoods removed from your valuable resource. I would appreciate your help with this regardless of my affiliation with this club. Brb232 (talk) 22:23, 16 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]
You were contacted by someone with a COI while you have a COI yourself and you thought it was a good idea to arbitrarily alter Wikipedia like all the other COI editors that came before you? No, you went a step further by making a legal threat that has still not been struck. Do you recant your legal threat made against this community of editors? --ARoseWolf 11:40, 17 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]
I will post exactly what I wrote. "You keep relying on something posted by the goverment, which are inaccurate and could possibly lead to a slander suit against you." I stated "possibly" and never directly threatened anyone. If it was taken than way, then yes I would recant it. I have been working on getting many false statements on this page corrected, and may have done it the wrong way and for that I apologize. Your aggressive tactics here are not warranted as even though I am a member of the club itself, I am not trying to remove the truths contained within the page. There have been some bad actors within the club at times and they may have done some bad things, but that doesn't make everyone else in the club or the club itself bad. As I stated before, I would appreciate your help with making Wikipedia pages more accurate do they don't contain disinformation or at least outright lies. I have been working with a few other editors on how to get this done and look forward to moving forward in a positive way. Brb232 (talk) 14:12, 17 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]
