Trans Canada Trail edit
[edit]Hi @CplKlinger:, you recently made an edit on the Trans Canada Trail page, adding information about an expansion of the trail in Fort Saskatchewan and Sturgeon County. The article which you linked as a reference doesn't mention that the pedestrian bridge in question is intended to be part of the Trail. Would you mind clarifying this discrepancy? Thanks! werewolf (talk) 00:28, 8 April 2020 (UTC)
- Good catch, thank you! I'm having issues finding a source that mentions them both in the same article, but there are plenty of others that discuss the Trans-Canada Trail separately. The River Valley Alliance, a local non-profit creating trails in the Edmonton area, had previously called for some disused rail bridge pillars to be re-purposed for crossing the river as part of the Trans Canada Trail, among other trial networks. Could I add this source as a second one, to go along with the one I have already placed? https://fortsaskonline.com/local/fort-saskatchewan-hub-of-the-trans-canada-trail CplKlinger (talk) 00:42, 8 April 2020 (UTC)
- Yes, I think that works well, thanks for the update! werewolf (talk) 01:54, 8 April 2020 (UTC)
- Wonderful, thank you for the quick response! Sorry for pushing ahead with the edit, I wasn't sure if you had "watched" this page so I thought at least you'd get a notification about the edit and could respond accordingly. Take care :)
- No worries, Wikipedia's motto is "be bold", or something like that, so as long as your edits are done in good faith (which yours clearly are), it's not an issue. After all, every edit can be undone. I am "watching" the page, for selfish reasons: I want to bike the entire Trail one day soon 😎 werewolf (talk) 22:33, 8 April 2020 (UTC)

Missing cites in Royal Canadian Navy
[edit]You have added four short citations without listing the full details of the works in the bibliography. Please add the full citations. Also, suggest installing a script (explained at Category:Harv and Sfn no-target errors) to highlight such errors in the future. Thanks, Renata (talk) 05:26, 25 September 2020 (UTC)
@Renata3: I apologize for that oversight. I copied that section from HMCS Magnificent's page and edited it to be more concise. When I saw that the in-line citations carried over, I incorrectly assumed that they would automatically appear in the bibliography as well. I will work on fixing this right now, and appreciate you taking the time to let me know, and also provide some excellent advice for moving forward :) CplKlinger (talk) 05:33, 25 September 2020 (UTC)
Disambiguation link notification for September 25
[edit]Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited 2003 invasion of Iraq, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Airborne Warning and Control System. Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)

Your GA nomination of Fort Saskatchewan
[edit]The article Fort Saskatchewan you nominated as a good article has passed ; see Talk:Fort Saskatchewan for comments about the article. Well done! If the article has not already appeared on the main page as a "Did you know" item, or as a bold link under "In the News" or in the "On This Day" prose section, you can nominate it within the next seven days to appear in DYK. Bolded names with dates listed at the bottom of the "On This Day" column do not affect DYK eligibility. Message delivered by Legobot, on behalf of Jon698 -- Jon698 (talk) 00:22, 15 October 2020 (UTC)

- Please see new note on your DYK nomination. Yoninah (talk) 18:15, 17 October 2020 (UTC)
User:Yoninah I responded, thank you. CplKlinger (talk) 18:22, 17 October 2020 (UTC)
- I responded too. While your hook is saying he was speeding to the fire, the article is saying he was speeding to a train. I think the hook needs to be rewritten. Yoninah (talk) 18:27, 17 October 2020 (UTC)
Do you have advice on how I could rewrite it? Because while I understand that he was speeding to the train, but I think it's important to note the fire because he was speeding to the train in order to make it to the fire. CplKlinger (talk) 18:33, 17 October 2020 (UTC)
I apologize, I didn't realize that you said more on the page itself. I'll think over your feedback and write a new hook later today, when I get home. CplKlinger (talk) 18:38, 17 October 2020 (UTC)
DYK for Fort Saskatchewan
[edit]On 4 November 2020, Did you know was updated with a fact from the article Fort Saskatchewan, which you recently created, substantially expanded, or brought to good article status. The fact was ... that in his hurry to get to a fire in Fort Saskatchewan, the town's fire chief was pulled over for speeding and nearly hitting a police officer in Edmonton? The nomination discussion and review may be seen at Template:Did you know nominations/Fort Saskatchewan. You are welcome to check how many page hits the article got while on the front page (here's how, Fort Saskatchewan), and it may be added to the statistics page if the total is over 5,000. Finally, if you know of an interesting fact from another recently created article, then please feel free to suggest it on the Did you know talk page.

Hello CplKlinger. Could you please provide a page number for your recent addition from Copp 2004 to the above article? Thank you,— Diannaa (talk) 14:12, 23 March 2022 (UTC)
- My apologies, I'm actually not sure. I used the citation from the Juno Beach page, where I found that information. CplKlinger (talk) 17:03, 23 March 2022 (UTC)
- Is the Juno Beach Centre trustworthy? They have similar info on their website. https://www.junobeach.org/what-is-d-day-an-faq/ CplKlinger (talk) 17:26, 23 March 2022 (UTC)
- It says the 3rd Canadian Infantry Division, and it's not sourced to Copp; it's from a diffewrnt book. I am taking it out.— Diannaa (talk) 02:07, 24 March 2022 (UTC)
- Turns out the original citation in the Juno Beach article does have a page number, it just didn't transfer when I copied the citation. It says the info is from page 57 of Copp, but I looked at a copy from my school library and I can't find any mention of what the article claims on that page, or elsewhere in the chapter. Perhaps the copy I found has different numbering, but I recommend that you double check the Juno Beach for accuracy in light of this. After all, I only wanted to add what I thought was relevant info from another page; I didn't pull in anything new.
