Hello. Your account has been granted the "reviewer" userright, allowing you to review other users' edits on certain flagged pages. Pending changes, also known as flagged protection, is currently undergoing a two-month trial scheduled to end 15 August 2010.
Reviewers can review edits made by users who are not autoconfirmed to articles placed under pending changes. Pending changes is applied to only a small number of articles, similarly to how semi-protection is applied but in a more controlled way for the trial. The list of articles with pending changes awaiting review is located at Special:OldReviewedPages.
For the guideline on reviewing, see Wikipedia:Reviewing. Being granted reviewer rights doesn't change how you can edit articles even with pending changes. The general help page on pending changes can be found here, and the general policy for the trial can be found here.
If you do not want this userright, you may ask any administrator to remove it for you at any time. HJ Mitchell | Penny for your thoughts?

[edit]Why did you revert my edit? I had changed the incorrect "long-standing ovation" to the correct form "long standing ovation". The ovation was a standing ovation, but using the hyphen as "long-standing ovation" changes that, and renders it into a seated ovation that lasted a long time. That's not the intended meeting. It would also be possible to write a "long-standing standing ovation", but that certainly sounds silly. When I made the correction, I gave a reason for it. You simply reverted it without bothering to give any explanation. Interlingua (talk) 11:50, 27 September 2024 (UTC)
- I did give a reason - as per the Oxford English Dictionary, long-standing is correct. Sorry. Regards Denisarona (talk) 15:51, 27 September 2024 (UTC)

[edit]News and updates for administrators from the past month (September 2024).
- Administrator elections are a proposed new process for selecting administrators, offering an alternative to requests for adminship (RfA). - The arbitration case Historical elections has been closed.
- An arbitration case regarding Backlash to diversity and inclusion has been opened.
