Updated pageswap script and RM/TR summaries

[edit]

I recommend switching from the older pageswap script User:Andy M. Wang/pageswap over to User:Ahecht/Scripts/pageswap (on User:Doomsdayer520/common.js). In Ahecht's version, you can do the swap from the ordinary move page.

With that, for RM/TR requests you can just use the "move" like on the request to get the default edit summary for an RM/TR move, e.g.,

Requested by Josedimaria237 at WP:RM/TR: the intended page acts as a redirect to the article, should be moved as the redirect page name is the current and official name of the university.

rather than the much less descriptive

as requested at Wikipedia:Requested moves/Technical requests

(which makes it difficult to figure out who requested the move and why). SilverLocust 💬 00:25, 4 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]
