Nekromanteion
[edit]A proposed deletion template has been added to the article Nekromanteion, suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process. All contributions are appreciated, but this article may not satisfy Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and the deletion notice should explain why (see also "What Wikipedia is not" and Wikipedia's deletion policy). You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}}
notice, but please explain why you disagree with the proposed deletion in your edit summary or on its talk page. Also, please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Even though removing the deletion notice will prevent deletion through the proposed deletion process, the article may still be deleted if it matches any of the speedy deletion criteria or it can be sent to Articles for Deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached. If you agree with the deletion of the article, and you are the only person who has made substantial edits to the page, please add {{db-author}}
to the top of Nekromanteion. Slgrandson (How's my egg-throwing coleslaw?) 07:38, 20 February 2008 (UTC) ANSWER OF HARRY GOUVAS: Please make the 2 articles ONE. It is the same. "Necromanteion"="Nekromanteion". In Greek is "Νεκρομαντείον" and on the Road Traffic Labels we see "Nekromanteion". So please make ONE, and tell me in wich article to edit??? Best Regards, Harry Gouvas.
Necromanteion again...
[edit]I have reverted (changed back to previous version) this: [1]. The problem was that part of the text you added appears to be the same as that at [2], and I see no evidence we can copy text from that site. Tizio 14:17, 20 February 2008 (UTC)
License tagging for File:Nekromanteion 01.JPG
[edit]Thanks for uploading File:Nekromanteion 01.JPG. You don't seem to have indicated the license status of the image. Wikipedia uses a set of image copyright tags to indicate this information; to add a tag to the image, select the appropriate tag from this list, click on this link, then click "Edit this page" and add the tag to the image's description. If there doesn't seem to be a suitable tag, the image is probably not appropriate for use on Wikipedia.

File copyright problem with File:National Bank, Preveza.JPG
[edit]Thank you for uploading File:National Bank, Preveza.JPG. However, it currently is missing information on its copyright status. Wikipedia takes copyright very seriously. It may be deleted soon, unless we can determine the license and the source of the file. If you know this information, then you can add a copyright tag to the image description page.
If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their license and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have created in your upload log.
If you have any questions, please feel free to ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thanks again for your cooperation. ww2censor (talk) 20:57, 15 November 2010 (UTC)
Preveza
[edit]Hi there,
Nice additions, but I think there are too many pictures. The lede shouldn't have any pictures other than the one in the infobox. Consider leaving historical pictures in the History section and creating a "Gallery" section for the rest, as is done in in the article on Greece. Also, the map of Preveza nomos and the stuff about Kallikratis should be in a separate section, not the lede.
Thank you for your advices. If you can make something better, in the article, do it. It helps me anyway. Best regards Harrygouvas (talk) 11:57, 22 November 2010 (UTC)

[edit]Hello, This is probably going to be a weird message to you...
Disregarding that, though, I have an ingrown toenail. Two of them on both sides of the same nail, actually. What would you recommend to help treat it?

[edit]Welcome, and thank you for contributing the page Traumatic Amputation to Wikipedia. While you have added the page to the English version of Wikipedia, the article is not in English. We invite you to translate it into English. It currently has been listed at Pages Needing Translation, but if it is not translated within two weeks, the article will be listed for deletion. I translate it myown, not google machine. Im sorry about my late. Please, can you help me about photos? It is impossible to upload photos directly to the article in Wikipedia. There is suggestion to do that in Commons. OK. Can someone to give me one by one the steps to upload there the photos of the article "Traumatic amputations"? Thanks Harrygouvas (talk) 10:05, 8 January 2011 (UTC) Dr. Harry Gouvas,Hand Surgeon, Greece
Your contributed article, Traumatic Amputation
[edit]If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.
You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.
Hello, I notice that you recently created a new page, Traumatic Amputation. First, thank you for your contribution; Wikipedia relies solely on the efforts of volunteers such as you. Unfortunately, the page you created covers a topic on which we already have a page - Traumatic amputation. Because of the duplication, your article has been tagged for speedy deletion. Please note that this is not a comment on you personally and we hope you will to continue helping improve Wikipedia. If the topic of the article you created is one that interests you, then perhaps you would like to help out at Traumatic amputation - you might like to discuss new information at the article's talk page.
If you think that the article you created should remain separate, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hang on}}
to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion, or "db", tag; if no such tag exists, then the page is no longer a speedy delete candidate and adding a hang-on tag is unnecessary), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, you can contact one of these administrators to request that the administrator userfy the page or email a copy to you. Additionally if you would like to have someone review articles you create before they go live so they are not nominated for deletion shortly after you post them, allow me to suggest the article creation process and using our search feature to find related information we already have in the encyclopedia. Try not to be discouraged. Wikipedia looks forward to your future contributions. Cind.amuse 20:14, 8 January 2011 (UTC)
Thank you Sir for your informations. I am proud about our collaboration. As I see now, my article Traumatic Amputation already exists. So there is not any problem. I have just to ...entertain it and add some photos. But, first we have to agree if the article will exist OR by your oppinion must be incorporated inside the Amputation article. I don't know your oppinion Sir exactly, maybe there are also other oppinions of administrators about that. Please, allow me to explain as a specialist Hand Surgeon 55 years old, that THERE ARE 3 VERY DIFFERENT TYPES of Amputations. 1. Traumatic (my article) 2. Therapeutic (for gangrain, diabetes, tumors, etc) 3. Social (Islamic, Budhist, Siera leone Civil War, etc). My oppinion is we need 3 articles. It would be my pleasure to reat your oppinion. Please i ask your sorry about my English. It is not my mother tongue. I am Dr. Harry Gouvas, Greek doctor, Orthopaedic Surgeon, MD, PhD. Bet regards Harrygouvas (talk) 20:43, 8 January 2011 (UTC)
- Hello ans welcome to Wikipedia! I think your ideas about three different articles would be an asset to add to the encyclopedia. Please forgive any typos as i broke my thumb and tore ligaments in my hand yesterday and find myself typing with only one hand. Do you make house calls? (Just joking.) in my opionion, it would be an improvement to add a brief introduction of the different kinds of amputation to the Amputation#Reasons_for_amputation section in the Amputation article. then you could create separate articles that go more in depth. You could link to the new articles from the Amputation article. I don't know if I;m making any sense, but in essence, i think you should go ahead and create three articles (as you suggest), linked from the Amputation article. I think that it would be advantageous for you to let other editors on the Amputation talk page know your thoughts. Let me know if you need help with anything. Cind.amuse 21:21, 8 January 2011 (UTC)
HARRY GOUVAS: I agree with You Sir 100%. I will need help in uploading Photos in the artice (My cases medical Photos). Please send me informations HOW i can do it, step by step. It is different in Greek Wikipedia than in English Wikipedia. ThanksHarrygouvas (talk) 20:12, 10 January 2011 (UTC)

- For the headings of sections the first words has caps but does not after that
- We use generic names for medication and as such they are not capatalized

For you excellent article on Sodium hyaluronate |
JoJan (talk) 14:37, 23 January 2012 (UTC)
Thank you Sir
[edit]Thank You Sir for your Barnstar! Please, Could you help me to Upload my photos from Wikipedia Commons to the Article? I failed Harrygouvas (talk) 16:55, 23 January 2012 (UTC) Greece
- You failed because the file in the en.wikipedia and the file in the Commons both had the same name File:Sodium Hyaluronate.JPG. To avoid this I moved the file in the en.wikipedia to a new name File:Sodium Hyaluronate 001.JPG and deleted the old name (I can do this because I'm an admin). Then I introduced the file from the Commons into the infobox in this manner: | image= Sodium Hyaluronate.JPG. And that's it. If you need more help like this, you can contact me at my talk page.
- Another good advise. When uploading images to the Commons, I always use the Creative Commons license with attribution. (In the upload wizard choose "Choose another license" and choose the second one). Why ? Because, anybody using your photos will have to give credit to you. This way, my name has been credited at least 44,000 times on the internet (and who knows how many times my photos have been used without giving credit). My photos have been used in several books about art, in scientific journals and even in the Encyclopaedia Brittannica online etc., each time with credit. So it can happen with your photos. Once uploaded, these photos begin a life of their own and start to pop up everywhere. JoJan (talk) 08:50, 24 January 2012 (UTC)
One more time, Thanks a lot Sir!!!Harrygouvas (talk) 17:22, 24 January 2012 (UTC)

[edit]A file that you uploaded or altered, File:The Greek inventor of Frappe Cofee, Dimitris Vakondios, 1957.jpg, has been listed at Wikipedia:Possibly unfree files because its copyright status is unclear or disputed. If the file's copyright status cannot be verified, it may be deleted. You may find more information on the file description page. You are welcome to add comments to its entry at the discussion if you are interested in it not being deleted. Thank you. J Milburn (talk) 10:43, 29 May 2012 (UTC) ANSWER: I declare that this photo (year 1957) of ever memorable Dimitrios Vakondios, in practice, is for many years ago PUBLIC DOMAIN in Greece, published everywhere without any sign of photographer or copyright. The Photographer is unknown. Probably this photo has taken by a public photographer of reportage (reporter) in the Thessaloniki 1957 International Exhibition, when the invention of Nestle Frappe cofee invented by him. So, there is NOT any danger about the law of copyright. Best Regards. Dr. Harry Gouvas. Harrygouvas (talk) 10:50, 29 May 2012 (UTC)
Speedy deletion nomination of Kitsakis Alekos
[edit]If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.
You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.
A tag has been placed on Kitsakis Alekos requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A3 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is an article with no content whatsoever, or whose contents consist only of external links, a "See also" section, book references, category tags, template tags, interwiki links, a rephrasing of the title, or an attempt to contact the subject of the article. Please see Wikipedia:Stub for our minimum information standards for short articles. Also please note that articles must be on notable subjects and should provide references to reliable sources that verify their content.
If you think that the page was nominated in error, contest the nomination by clicking on the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion" in the speedy deletion tag. Doing so will take you to the talk page where you can explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. You can also visit the page's talk page directly to give your reasons, but be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but do not hesitate to add information that is consistent with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, you can contact one of these administrators to request that the administrator userfy the page or email a copy to you. Mr. Vernon (talk) 15:39, 21 July 2012 (UTC)

There is NOT copyright about this poem, it has been as a Rock song in 1976, and also has published free, as public domain in thousands articles, magazins, newspapers and also Greek Wikipedia. As you see, they have past more than 70 years from the death of the poet, so there is not any problem to publish it, in English Wikipedia. [edit]The Painter of this paint "FACE IN THE CLOUDS" was Dimitris Genias or Yenias, who died on 2011. However, our foundation, when buys paints, asks allways and takes document from the painter, about 2 things: (a) That the paint is Original and not copy (b) That the painter gives us the copyright of the paint, that means we have the lisence to publish everywhere the photo of any paint of our Collection. Hi Harrygouvas, I see you are having many problems with images you upload and then they are deleted. I am sorry to see your effort wasted, but there are some requirements that cannot be overlooked, especially when dealing with images of works of art. Answering about such concerns in your talk page, does not solve the problem at all. It is absolutely necessary that such statements are communicated per email with [email protected] so they can approve the claims. If you have any further questions, feel free to ask me in my talk page or to email me. Hoverfish Talk 18:00, 1 September 2013 (UTC)
I see, you have already communicated to OTRS about File:Paint "Face in the Clouds".jpg. I was looking at File:Caress of the Sun.jpg, which still misses an {{OTRS pending}} template. As it is, this photo can still be deleted in 3-4 days, which would be a pity. Hoverfish Talk 18:09, 1 September 2013 (UTC)

It would be highly unusual for this to happen, so if you could please have the painter, Josef Kyromytis, send an email to us using the instructions at WP:CONSENT? Wikipedia takes copyright very seriously, so this legal step is necessary. -- Diannaa (talk) 22:13, 2 October 2013 (UTC)

The operation technic performed by Dr. Harry Gouvas in 1992, and the name is LATERAL ONYCHOPLASTY, that means LATERAL NAIL BED PLASTIC OPERATION, in English WEDGE RESECTION. Always in Medical Photos, we have the permission of the patient. Especially, in cases where NO FACE OF THE PATIENT is SHOWN, the W.H.O. says NO permission of the patient is needed. [edit]Thank you for your Mail dear friend. Really, the time from death of painter (1957 to 2013) is just 56 years, not 70 as needed. However, when a paint belongs to private Collection, Collectors WANT to have publicity about the photo of the paint, because the price of the paint INCREASES. So there was never legal problem in history, about photos of paints in private collection, because of this reason. The problem exists IF the pain will be print in post cards or posters. That is my oppinion as a collector and like as a Museum Director. If you have other oppinion, i have no problem to erase this photo. Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page. Speedy deletion nomination of Anthony Adolph
[edit]If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.
You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.
A tag has been placed on Anthony Adolph requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G12 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article or image appears to be a clear copyright infringement. This article or image appears to be a direct copy from http://anthonyadolph.co.uk/brutus-of-troy/. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted. You may use external websites or other printed material as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. This part is crucial: say it in your own words. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators will be blocked from editing.
If the external website or image belongs to you, and you want to allow Wikipedia to use the text or image — which means allowing other people to modify it — then you must verify that externally by one of the processes explained at Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials. If you are not the owner of the external website or image but have permission from that owner, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission. You might want to look at Wikipedia's policies and guidelines for more details, or ask a question here.
If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines.
