The article Pence-Cole Valley Transit Center has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:
Non-notable bus stop, which often fails general notability (see WP:BUSOUTCOMES)
While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.
You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}}
notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.
Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}}
will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. SounderBruce 05:59, 16 February 2018 (UTC)

- Great question! Sounds like you may be thinking of Krell Hill. Krell Hill is toward the southeast of Spokane so it would fall out of the frame of the photo, which is aimed almost due east toward Liberty Lake and Idaho.
- Gah, I'm sorry I said "south" when I meant "west". There's a smaller hill line to the west and closer to downtown (just west of Iller Creek) that has a few radio/TV towers on it. Excelsiorsbanjo (talk) 02:03, 3 October 2018 (UTC)

Riverfront Park
[edit]Nice work on expanding Riverfront Park. Would you be interested in submitting it to WP:DYK? It would qualify as a five-fold expansion, but you would need to add more inline sources (which is also required for most Wikipedia content). SounderBruce 04:53, 11 May 2020 (UTC)
- SounderBruce I would love to at some point! Thanks for the suggestion. I'd want to wait until I get the article to a good point though (still many blanks, and much more I can add on the history). So it might be a couple weeks more since I tend to edit Wiki in spurts, and I also still need to finish getting those other University District and WSU Spokane articles I've been working on the over the last couple days to a good point. Is there a specific timeframe you were thinking? Jdubman (talk) 05:13, 11 May 2020 (UTC)
- DYK requires that you nominate within seven days, but you can take a bit more time after nominating to make improvements (like adding the requisite sources). I'm emphasizing the sources since it's a good habit to form while writing (or even before writing). SounderBruce 05:23, 11 May 2020 (UTC)
- SounderBruce Maybe we can nominate toward the end of this week then? It would give some more time to polish it, and then of course polish it more after the nomination. Jdubman (talk) 05:40, 11 May 2020 (UTC)
- SounderBruce We're now up to about 70 references and a lot of expanded subsections. I think we can probably nominate it now. Thoughts? Jdubman (talk) 04:13, 15 May 2020 (UTC)
- It should be fine to nominate, but you would need to have a citation for every paragraph in order to ensure its success. I see a few that lack citations or use ones that don't cover all of the information in its given paragraph. SounderBruce 05:20, 15 May 2020 (UTC)

DYK for Riverfront Park (Spokane, Washington)
[edit]On 4 June 2020, Did you know was updated with a fact from the article Riverfront Park (Spokane, Washington), which you recently created, substantially expanded, or brought to good article status. The fact was ... that the installation of a garbage-eating sculpture in Riverfront Park caused an uproar from goat farmers, concerned that it perpetuated the false stereotype that goats eat anything? The nomination discussion and review may be seen at Template:Did you know nominations/Riverfront Park (Spokane, Washington). You are welcome to check how many page hits the article got while on the front page (here's how, Riverfront Park (Spokane, Washington)), and it may be added to the statistics page if the total is over 5,000. Finally, if you know of an interesting fact from another recently created article, then please feel free to suggest it on the Did you know talk page.

- Congratulations! The article actually looks like it could easily meet the Good articles criteria. I encourage you to nominate it if you feel comfortable. SounderBruce 04:41, 4 June 2020 (UTC)
- And many thanks to you, SounderBruce, for the suggestion to nominate it for DYK! GA definitely seems like the next logical step. Looking at the criteria, I agree, it probably would meet it. Since there's no time limit on this one, I might clean up the article a little more first, then nominate it. Jdubman (talk) 05:03, 4 June 2020 (UTC)
Coeur d'Alene, ID article help
[edit]Hi JDubman, I would like to ask your help with the CDA article. I've been working on it for the last three months and nominated it for GA and I think it's basically done content wise and I just need someone to create the red link Main article that is under the Notable People section, the List of people from Coeur d'Alene, Idaho article so you or I can dump that list in it and get it off the Main article. I wouldn't feel right if I just deleted the list that people made and I don't want to make an account to do this one last edit. Thanks! 2001:5B0:4FC0:68A8:E01B:73FB:BC56:6B2E (talk) 22:25, 24 October 2020 (UTC)
- Also while I have your ear...if it isn't too much trouble and if it's possible, it would be nice if the Economy of Spokane, Washington article could be renamed to something more broad like Economy of the Spokane–Coeur d'Alene MSA, Economy of metropolitan Spokane, or Economy of Greater Spokane or something like that to better fit the new scope of the article. I completely reworked the article a while back and tried to model it after the Economy of metropolitan Detroit article. I didn't think it made sense to limit the scope of the article to just Spokane city proper or the Spokane MSA especially since the Coeur d'Alene MSA is already lumped in with it in a CSA and will eventually be part of the same MSA some day in the future.
- Sorry for all the requests, if you don't want to do it or don't have time then just ignore this and thanks anyway! 2001:5B0:4FC0:68A8:6064:E91F:BAB6:59A6 (talk) 18:26, 25 October 2020 (UTC)

Might re-nominate the Riverfront Park article
[edit]Hi Jdubman, I wanted to say I think you have done an excellent job on the Riverfront Park article and it looks fantastic. Its well researched, it's very detailed and well written and contains a variety of source materials that are properly cited and everything. I was super excited when I saw it in the queue of Good Article Nominations when I was working on the Coeur d'Alene GAN. You can tell you put in a lot of work on it looks like it's a low lying fruit for a Good Article Nomination, which is why I was surprised to see the nomination was shelved after the reviewer was unable to get a response from you after a long absence; I was wondering if I should swoop in and take over the nomination work, but I didn't want to step on your toes. I hope you are well and everything is alright with you.
I wanted you to know that I was thinking about nominating it again so it can reach it's full potential; I don't want all that hard work to go to waste or wait a few years to see if someone else does it all the while the website url references go dead, creating work rooting through everything and hopefully getting archived urls or whatever. I think if there's a time to re-nominate it would make sense to do it sooner rather than later and I'm not sure if you had plans to re-nominate it or wanted to have the honor of going through the nomination process and taking it across the finish line yourself. Not sure if you think that's a big deal, but I just wanted to give you a heads up about my intentions in case you cared or were interested in pitching in at all if you have the time and are able. Again, I hope you are well and if you have anything to say about that these potential plans, put those comments below on this Talk page since I am not a registered user and don't have a real Talk page. Thanks Jdubman for all your contributions to the Spokane area articles and in general... 2001:5B0:4FC0:1788:F1CB:FD2E:28FE:A5B2 (talk) 23:54, 1 July 2021 (UTC)
- Thanks for the kind words - go for it! I tend to edit Wikipedia in spurts, contributing a lot for a couple weeks, then taking really long breaks in between. That's sort of what happened earlier this year with the GAN. It sat in the queue for a long time, and by the time I logged back in, I saw that the reviewer had already denied it due to my inaction (break). So if you could step in and clean it up I do not mind at all! Jdubman (talk) 02:46, 14 July 2021 (UTC)
- Glad to hear all is well. The article is in the queue again, hopefully it won’t take as long as last time for someone to take a look at it. Feel free to take that IP address off the nomination page and replace it with yours if you want, and pitch in if you come off your break. People might think it’s a joke in the queue if they see a rando without an account and not the primary contributor is listed as nominator. I would still check regularly for any review comments when they come through and help out with the nomination :)
