Shad Gaspard

[edit]

Just wondering if someone should has that Shad was swept under a wave in the ocean. He has yet to be found unfortunately. JohnnyHighRise (talk) 23:20, 18 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]

@JohnnyHighRise:: It looks as if someone added the information. I fixed the reference. The reference also mentions his wife's name so it can be used for the citation needed. - Kiraroshi1976 (talk) 01:45, 19 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Possible Dick Goddard ref

[edit]

The Plain Dealer published a large article which I'm surprised isn't used as a reference, even though the timeline related to it is. I was going to add it to the "Further reading" section but since you've done a very thorough job of editing the article since he died, I figured I'd ask you about it before adding it in case you have already seen it (I can't imagine that you haven't) and decided that in spite of its completeness it doesn't contain anything not already in other sources such as his memoirs. Mapsax (talk) 20:36, 6 August 2020 (UTC)[reply]

@Mapsax, it is the first citation. If you feel you need more info than there is, by all means, put it in there. - Kiraroshi1976 (talk) 03:01, 7 August 2020 (UTC)[reply]
It appears that we're talking about two different newspaper articles. The first cite is the PD article from when he turned 80. The one in the link above is the main PD article from right after he died. You can probably tell better than I can whether or not it would be a useful additional ref in light of your recent editing. CCI Notice

[edit]

Hello, Kiraroshi1976. This message is being sent to inform you that a request for a contributor copyright investigation has been filed at Contributor copyright investigations concerning your contributions to Wikipedia in relation to Wikipedia's copyrights policy. The listing can be found here. For some suggestions on responding, please see Responding to a CCI case. Thank you. --MrLinkinPark333 (talk) 20:53, 19 August 2020 (UTC)[reply]

@MrLinkinPark333, I'm not even sure how to respond, but I will try. I have made great effort not do copyright stuff since 2016. However, I am not perfect, and I do try to learn from my mistakes. I tried looking at the link you gave to respond. I do not understand as to where to respond. I apologize, but I am confused as to where to respond. - Kiraroshi1976 (talk) 01:54, 20 August 2020 (UTC)[reply]
@Kiraroshi1976: Hello. I used a substitution template to autogenerate that message. It seems that section was renamed. It's now at Wikipedia:Contributor_copyright_investigations#Review_of_CCI_requests. In any case, you can leave a reply under the Requests section that has your name in the blue box. --MrLinkinPark333 (talk) 02:03, 20 August 2020 (UTC)[reply]

You have been blocked indefinitely from editing certain namespaces ((Article) and Draft) for copyright violations.
If you think there are good reasons for being unblocked, please read the guide to appealing blocks, then add the following text below the block notice on your talk page: {{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}}.  Moneytrees🏝️Talk🌴Help out at CCI! 17:03, 18 September 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Hello, To Whom It May Concern. I had stopped making those kinds of edits. I have been very productive and constructive. I feel very ashamed of being blocked. 99% of my edits have been very productive. I'm not sure what else I can say. - Kiraroshi1976 (talk) 02:20, 4 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]
I am hopeful to try to demonstrate that I will not infringe on copyrights. I understand that I did wrong. I would like a chance to prove that I can work within the guidlines. - Kiraroshi1976 (talk) 00:07, 9 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]
If you intend on appealing please use the template mentioned above. Moneytrees🏝️Talk🌴Help out at CCI! 05:16, 23 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Request reason:

Hello, To Whom It May Concern. I had stopped making those kinds of edits. I have been very productive and constructive. I feel very ashamed of being blocked. 99% of my edits have been very productive. I'm not sure what else I can say. Kiraroshi1976 (talk) 02:36, 21 December 2020 (UTC)

Decline reason:

We must take copyright violations seriously, as they potentially put Wikipedia in legal jeopardy. We must be assured that you understand what copyright is and when and how copyrighted content can be used. As you don't provide that assurance with this request, I am declining it. Please review WP:COPYVIO. 331dot (talk) 09:16, 21 December 2020 (UTC)[reply]

If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.

Request reason:

I realize copyright laws now, I would not infringe on those rights now. I do not wish legal jeopardy on anyone. I will understand if you refuse a second time, however, I would like a chance to prove that I can do editing with out violating the copyright laws. I understand that not only could Wikipedia be sued, I could as well. I will never violate those laws again.Kiraroshi1976 (talk) 15:05, 21 December 2020 (UTC)

Decline reason:

In order to lift the block, we need to be certain that you understand how copyright works on Wikipedia. To allow the reviewing administrator to assess your understanding, please respond to the following questions in your next unblock appeal, explaining in your own words:

  • What is copyright?
  • How is Wikipedia licenced?
  • Why is copyrighted content not allowed on Wikipedia?
  • Under what circumstances can we use copyrighted content?
  • How do you intend to avoid violating the copyright policy in the future?

Your answers will enable us to establish whether or not you should be unblocked. Yamla (talk) 14:58, 31 January 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Request reason:

Copyright is type or kind of intellectual property that protects all original works of any type of authorship. Wikipedia is licensed under the Creative Commons Attribution. I must give appropriate credit. I must give a link to the license. I must also indcate any changes that were made to the copyrighted material. I must share if I remix, transform, or build upon the original work under the same license of the original work. Any and all original works are protected by US Copyrights laws because Wikipedia's database is located in the United States and cannot be infringed upon. Fair use grants limited use of original works without permission from the copyright holder for purposes such as criticism, parody, news reporting, research and scholarship, and teaching. There are certain factors that have to be considered which are purpose and character, nature of the copyrighted work, the amount of the original work(s), and the effects upon the original work(s). I intend on not violating the terms of Wikipedia by abiding by its rules, United States Laws, and laws of other countries. I intend on mostly editing sentences and updating/making references. I understand the seriousness of copyright infringement. Kiraroshi1976 (talk)

Decline reason:

Dude, you practically copy-pasted this from Baylor.edu. The only way you're going to get unblocked is if you stop copy-pasting text. NinjaRobotPirate (talk) 12:25, 24 October 2021 (UTC)[reply]
