Manchester International Airport

[edit]

Thank you for your interest in Wikipedia. However, please do not keep making the edit forecasting 50m passengers without sourcing as here. Replacing a sourced figure with an unsourced figure could be construed as vandalism. Please research the situation and find a reliable source for your figure. Hi, I'm just letting you know that I changed the wording of the article as the source states that the MEN arena is "Europe's largest indoor concert venue". If you change the article to read "one of the largest", please provide a source to back it up. Thanks, Nev1 (talk) 21:07, 5 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]

I refer you to Wikipedia:Lead#Introductory_text. You are obviously an inexperience editor but attempting to introduce new information into a featured article's lead section with or without correctly cited references is not a good idea. Wikipedia:Citing sources tell you about correct referencing.--J3Mrs (talk) 15:54, 16 September 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited Manchester, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Second City (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

Manchester again

[edit]

Hello. I ask you kindly to familiarise yourself with Wikipedia's policies (such as NPOV and Citing Sources correctly) to gain a greater understanding of what edits are constructive. The Manchester page is a featured article (marked by the gold star in top right corner) meaning it is viewed as one of the most comprehensive articles on Wikipedia. As such it is adjudged to not need much editing. Although you may think adding one of Manchester's most important events is a good idea - adding the Peterloo Massacre into the introduction of a FA with no exposition and with an unreferenced source is not welcome. Hello, I'm BracketBot. I have automatically detected that your edit to Manchester Arena may have broken the syntax by modifying 1 "[]"s. If you have, don't worry: just edit the page again to fix it. If I misunderstood what happened, or if you have any questions, you can leave a message on my operator's talk page.

List of unpaired brackets remaining on the page:
  • *[[Barbara Streisand]] performed at the venue on July 10 2007 as part of her [[Streisand (concert tour)].
