Basic mistake within definition of parasite drag and its coefficient.

[edit]

Hi, Nimbus227; I abide by your notice, and I apologize. I am new dealing with Wikipedia. My intent was to point to a basic problem in a basic definition of the parasite drag coefficient CDo of an aircraft that yields misleading results. This issue derives from using the wing area as a reference area (bad) instead of frontal area (ggod). I thought I could rely on Wikipedia to highlight this point, and you have proved me wrong. I will have to find other more conventional means to do so (peer-reviewed academic papers). My background is in aerodynamics, and you may google "burgers" and "normalized lift" for more information on this topic. Again, my apologies and thanks, Nimbus227. Hi, there's no need to contact me here, most editors place articles (which includes talk pages) on their watchlist, that's why I was alerted that there was a new comment. Full talk page guidelines are here, this template has links to Wikipedia's guidelines and policies. You still seem unhappy with the article, your post appeared to only criticise text books on the subject and not the article. If you believe there is an omission in the article you can highlight that directly on the talk page with the proposal of how to remedy it or you can edit the article yourself, citing your source(s). If the community agrees with the change then it will be kept, if not it might be reverted. Some blue links there that hopefully help to explain how it all works. Maybe you can inform me why my edits are being undone, I have used citations, and links and edit was removed. I removed links a citations and it was removed again. All information is true and correct so what is the issue with updating the content? 2601:2C1:C200:7090:34D9:F1F1:A52C:C34E (talk) 13:44, 17 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]

See Talk:Affordaplane, article problems are discussed on their talk pages. Nimbus (Cumulus nimbus floats by) 13:53, 17 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Invitation to participate in a research

[edit]

Hello,

The Wikimedia Foundation is conducting a survey of Wikipedians to better understand what draws administrators to contribute to Wikipedia, and what affects administrator retention. We will use this research to improve experiences for Wikipedians, and address common problems and needs. We have identified you as a good candidate for this research, and would greatly appreciate your participation in this anonymous survey.

You do not have to be an Administrator to participate.

The survey should take around 10-15 minutes to complete. You may read more about the study on its Meta page and view its privacy statement .

Please find our contact on the project Meta page if you have any questions or concerns.

Kind Regards,

WMF Research Team
