It is inappropriate to selectively remove links to promote your POV. Wikipedia strives for a neutral point of view which requires subjects to be critically examined. Rmhermen (talk) 03:19, 12 November 2008 (UTC)

[edit]Please do not add content without citing reliable sources, as you did to Tisha Campbell-Martin. Before making potentially controversial edits, it is recommended that you discuss them first on the article's talk page. If you are familiar with Wikipedia:Citing sources please take this opportunity to add references to the article. Thank you. Ward3001 (talk) 03:50, 22 November 2008 (UTC)
- Are you serious? Asking for a citation for Tisha Campbell-Martin's ethnicity is like asking a citation to see if Angelina Jolie is white or to see if Whoopi Goldberg is black or to see if Bill O'Reilly is Irish-American. The woman self-identifies as black. In case you don't know, there's a difference between light-skinned and white. The actress is light-skinned, not white. You're being a fool right now. Pandyu (talk) 16:24, 22 November 2008 (UTC)
- Yes, I take Wikipedia's policies seriously. This has nothing to do with skin tone. It has everything to do with Wikipedia polices. "The threshold for inclusion in Wikipedia is verifiability, not truth". Please provide a citation to a reliable source that she "self-identifies as black". Use your own logic. Don't add something because of your interpretation of the color of her skin. Add it based on reliable sourcing, a core Wikipedia policy. Look at the article on G. K. Butterfield. Some of us had to fight very hard against editors who wanted to remove his African-American status because he did not look black. It is properly sourced in the article that his father was African-American. The same standards apply to the article on Tisha Campbell-Martin. Ward3001 (talk) 16:33, 22 November 2008 (UTC)
- " I see what you're trying to do. You're trying to destroy the black identity, right? I get it now.": Then why did I work so hard to include African-American on another article that was well sourced. Your statement does nothing to improve either the article or black identity. And by the way, regarding your personal accusation about me:
- Regarding your comments on User talk:Ward3001: Please see Wikipedia's no personal attacks policy. Comment on content, not on contributors. Personal attacks damage the community and deter users. Note that continued personal attacks will lead to blocks for disruption. Please stay cool and keep this in mind while editing. Thank you. Ward3001 (talk) 17:08, 22 November 2008 (UTC)
- Like I said, I can see through you. Pandyu (talk) 17:13, 22 November 2008 (UTC): No substance to that statement. It's a feeble attempt to avoid the real issue, which is that you don't want to bother finding a source so that the same Wikipedia standards apply to this article as to all other articles. You prefer to apply your own narrow ideas about how articles are to be written and sourced. Now I will kindly ask you to leave my talk page alone. In addition to a policy against personal attacks, there is a policy against harrassment, a blockable violation. Ward3001 (talk) 17:21, 22 November 2008 (UTC)
- "And don't think about reverting my edits because I'll revert it back. ": Who the hell do you think you are? An editor is entitled to revert anything on his/her talk page. If you repeatedly re-add what I revert on my talk page, then I will make an WP:ANI report. This is my last message to you unless you decide to escalate this. (outdent) We're discussing the article in question on it's Talk page. You may wish to participate, as it was your ANI complaint that drew me there. ►BMW◄ 20:26, 22 November 2008 (UTC)
Blocked—racism is a no-no.
[edit]http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/?diff=next&oldid=253436231. Personal attacks and racist comments, such as those you made in the link above, are completely unacceptable, and at odds with the standards expected in a collaborative encyclopedia. I have placed a 12 hour block on your account—an exceptionally lenient decision, in my mind. In the event of any future comments of that nature, your account will be indefinitely blocked. Behave yourself, please. AGK 20:28, 22 November 2008 (UTC) |
RE: Hello
[edit]I'd like to apologize for my actions yesterday. Calling you those things was out of line and wrong. I did it in the heat of the moment. I am sorry. Pandyu (talk) 17:33, 23 November 2008 (UTC)
- Apology accepted. Thank you. Ward3001 (talk) 17:47, 23 November 2008 (UTC)
Re: Problems with the Pacific Raceways map
[edit]I have no idea. The thumbnailer on Commons sometimes acts up. But I haven't heard of problems like that. I will ask on the Commons IRC channel about the problem.
BTW: I do take requests, but I am now requiring them to be posted on my new website: Will Pittenger's Stuff for Google Earth and Maps. Look for the "Requests" forum. Accounts are free. Will (Talk - contribs) 03:12, 24 November 2008 (UTC)
2008 albums
[edit]Not sure why you're asking me particularly, especially based on my reply at AN. Whatever your reason is for not updating this list yourself, that's your own concern; I am not interested in editing the article in question, and so I'm going to decline. Thanks.GJC 02:01, 25 November 2008 (UTC)
House music
[edit]Thanks for keeping an eye on the house music article. The vandals are coming in from all over the world, which makes me think that somewhere on the web there is a message board or chat room about house music where someone posted about the article and rallied his homophobic pals to excise the content he's uncomfortable with. I've done quite a bit of Googling to try to find a place where the article and "gay" have been mentioned publicly, but turned up nothing except benign references. So maybe it's in a private or just non-spiderable forum. I suppose it could be just one clever person masquerading his IP address, or random people operating in isolation, but I'm inclined to believe it's a coordinated effort. There's not much we can do, I don't think, except keep reverting the edits, and maybe try to get the article semi-protected. —mjb (talk) 19:58, 18 December 2008 (UTC)
MFD of Ultritalo
[edit]Hi. That belongs at WP:AFD not MFD. I have closed it, feel free to relist it a WP:AFD. // roux 19:48, 27 December 2008 (UTC)
Please don't feed the trolls, and more importantly, don't call other editors racists. I recommend that you read WP:CIVIL and WP:NPA. Thank you. — Malik Shabazz (talk · contribs) 19:05, 30 December 2008 (UTC)
Thanks for the kind words. :)
[edit]Yo! I'm here if you need me. I'm not around often, so if you really need me, e-mail me. Peace. deeceevoice (talk) 19:24, 30 December 2008 (UTC)
blocked
[edit]Had you waited until now without opening another account, I would have left a note on your talk page asking if we might come to some kind of an agreement to unblock you. However, not only did you open another sockpuppet account, but you've been making edits like this. Gwen Gale (talk) 06:16, 31 December 2008 (UTC)

Then I don't know why I should unblock you. — Smashvilletalk 17:44, 31 December 2008 (UTC)
