Hello, PowerPCG5
Welcome to Wikipedia! I edit here too, under the username Onel5969 and it's nice to meet you :-)
I wanted to let you know that I’ve proposed an article that you started, Ashland Skate Park, for deletion because it meets one of the relevant criterion. The particular issue can be located in the notice, that is now visible at the top of the article.
If you wish to prevent the deletion:
- Edit the page
- Remove the text that looks like this:
{{proposed deletion/dated...}}
- Click the button.
But, please remember to explain why you think the article should be kept on the article's talk page and improve the page to address the raised issues. Otherwise, it may be deleted later by other means.
If you have any questions, please leave a comment here and prepend it with {{Re|Onel5969}}
. And, don't forget to sign your reply with ~~~~
. Thanks!

Nomination of Ashland Skate Park for deletion
[edit]A discussion is taking place as to whether the article Ashland Skate Park is suitable for inclusion in Wikipedia according to Wikipedia's policies and guidelines or whether it should be deleted.
The article will be discussed at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Ashland Skate Park until a consensus is reached, and anyone, including you, is welcome to contribute to the discussion. The nomination will explain the policies and guidelines which are of concern. The discussion focuses on high-quality evidence and our policies and guidelines.
Users may edit the article during the discussion, including to improve the article to address concerns raised in the discussion. However, do not remove the article-for-deletion notice from the top of the article. Onel5969 TT me 11:11, 14 November 2019 (UTC)
belated welcome
[edit]Hi, PowerPCG5, i arrive here after noting the ongoing "Articles For Deletion" (AFD), Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Ashland Skate Park about an article you created. There are some non-fans of this article, and I think the AFD process will likely end up with a "Delete" or "Redirect" decision. I hope you don't mind too much if this happens. You are welcome, by the way, to participate yourself in the AFD discussion. You probably would put in your "not-a-vote" recommendation for Keep as the result you want. My guess is that it will not be kept, outright, but it still could be good experience for you to participate there. In general, participating in other AFDs, not about your own articles, can be good for learning about notability for Wikipedia articles (you can browse in ongoing AFDs at links from wp:AFD). The similar article Carter Jones Skate Park has been mentioned and is likely to be targeted, also. :(
Hey, it takes everyone a while to figure out how Wikipedia works, including about which types of topics make for articles that will survive the deletionists' pressures. I myself happen to focus on historic sites, like places listed on the U.S. National Register of Historic Places, partly because those are all generally accepted, because for every one of them there exists some longish National Register nomination document which provides enough documentation to "win" any deletion proposal fight.
Anyhow, I want to welcome you, and invite you to contact me anytime. I will "watchlist" this page so I will probably see if you reply here, but feel free to contact me at my own Talk page, esp. if I seem to have missed something here. I hope you will hang in there and keep on contributing. You clearly can write perfectly well and you can be a great contributor! cheers, --Doncram (talk) 00:09, 17 November 2019 (UTC)
- If u r interested in covering skate parks, i wonder if you/we could make a list-article about them with usage of general sources, instead of separate articles that are too small/local as topics to survive? --Doncram (talk) 15:41, 17 November 2019 (UTC)
- Please do see Skateparks in Virginia. --Doncram (talk) 18:11, 20 November 2019 (UTC)
Speedy deletion nomination of Deleter
[edit]If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.
You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.
A tag has been placed on Deleter, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page seems to be unambiguous advertising which only promotes a company, group, product, service, person, or point of view and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become encyclopedic. Please read the guidelines on spam and Wikipedia:FAQ/Organizations for more information.
If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator. Richard3120 (talk) 21:06, 16 July 2020 (UTC)
- I've replied to your comment on the talk page of the article – in particular you should note WP:ORGCRIT. Thank you. Richard3120 (talk) 21:15, 16 July 2020 (UTC)
- I did note your comment on the talk page of the article. However, third-party references are, for mainspace articles, a requirement, not a nicety to be done later. Because of the possibility for spam and promotion, this is enforced especially strictly on articles about companies and organizations. If you have an idea for an article but aren't yet ready to find those sources, you can always start it either as a draft, or in your own userspace sandbox. I do that with some frequency myself. Drafts aren't required to demonstrate notability immediately like mainspace articles are, so you'll have time to find sources later without worrying about deletion, and if you turn out to be unable to find them you can just abandon it with no problem. Seraphimblade Talk to me 21:36, 16 July 2020 (UTC)
- Exactly what Seraphimblade said above. If this company really is notable, then it should be possible to find sources that talk about it. Note that the sources don't have to be in English... it's quite likely that all sources for this article will be in Japanese, and that's not a problem, providing they are reliable sources such as newspapers, magazines and books... manga blogs won't be acceptable, for example. Disambiguation link notification for October 28
[edit]Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited 16K resolution, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page 4:4:4. Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)

[edit]Hello PowerPCG5 from fellow WikiProject Skateboarding member!
[edit]A sick Harold Hunter wallride for you! I'm Wil540 and I am a member of WikiProject_Skateboarding like you and I also run an independent digital history project focused on skateboarding called the Skateboarding Digital History Project. Unfortunately, the Rick McCrank article has been nominated for deletion. Please contribute if you feel opinionated on the nomination: Wikipedia:Articles_for_deletion/Rick_McCrank_(2nd_nomination) --Wil540 art (talk) 14:49, 17 December 2020 (UTC) Disputed non-free use rationale for File:Rodney Mullen.jpeg[edit]Thank you for uploading File:Rodney Mullen.jpeg. However, there is a concern that the rationale provided for using this file on Wikipedia may not meet the criteria required by Wikipedia:Non-free content. This can be corrected by going to the file description page and adding or clarifying the reason why the file qualifies under this policy. Adding and completing one of the templates available from Wikipedia:Non-free use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your file is in compliance with Wikipedia policy. Please be aware that a non-free use rationale is not the same as an image copyright tag; descriptions for files used under the non-free content policy require both a copyright tag and a non-free use rationale. If it is determined that the file does not qualify under the non-free content policy, it might be deleted by an administrator seven days after the file was tagged in accordance with section F7 of the criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions, please ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thank you. -- Marchjuly (talk) 08:35, 3 August 2021 (UTC) ArbCom 2021 Elections voter message[edit]ArbCom 2022 Elections voter message[edit]Hello!
