Your Forum
[edit]Thanks for the invite, but I doubt I would be very welcome there lol. I'm a huge fan of both series' and only see the movie as a pretty good film with a great idea behind it. As for BSG, I am a "reimagined" version fan, never actually seen the original, but from what I hear I wouldn't like it very much. I'll still keep an eye on it though, and may join some day. Thanks againg though. Konman72 04:35, 24 July 2006 (UTC)
Book character pages
[edit]Just so you know, the pages you are planning for the book characters will almost certainly get deleted. The books are very non-notable in their own right since they were never that popular and very few people know about them. To avoid this I suggest you create one main page titled Characters in the Stargate Film Novels. We have been doing the same throughout the SG-1 articles to avoid this very thing. If one or more characters end up having extremely large sections then it might be prudent to give them their own page, but not until you have a base page from which to spin them off from. This will let people see that you attempted to create a single page but were forced to make more due to space requirements. Even then though there is a high likelyhood of deletion for the main page given the aformentioned non-notability, but if you're lucky you will avoid that. Just trying to give you the heads-up as I have seen quite a few AFD's that could have easily been avoided. Oh, and your Hathor page needs to be fixed, even if it is under construction it shouldn't say that in the main text. It could very easily be speedy deleted at the moment (I was quite tempted to do it lol, but I figured I'd give you the benefit of the doubt that the page will be improved). If you must have the page created already, as opposed to writing it all at once, then find the "major edit" template instead of saying that the page is under construction. Just thought I would help you out. Good luck! Konman72 00:13, 3 October 2006 (UTC)
- Then just add them to the Stargate Literature page. If it grows too large then we can split them as needed. And yes, the books popularity does matter since their lack of it makes them non-notable. They lack notability in and of themselves, as do the characters. Now, if they are combined into a meta-article containing information on all Stargate books then they pass, otherwise they risk deletion. If you want to go into a large amount of detail then find a Stargate specific Wiki to do it on, the information would be very pertinent there. As far as harassing you is concerned, I'm sure it seems that way to you, but truthfully I am just cleaning up your messes. I know you are bias, as you have admitted, so I usually check any edit made by you and they usually violate at least 1 rule or more. If you would stop violating rules I would stop editting you so much. And, no, I do not want a complete SG-1 monopoly, but the film is only a small part of Stargate at this point. It barely made a splash when it came out and was quickly forgotten. The series on the other hand are still going and SG-1 holds the record for longest running scifi show in US history. They are far more notable and contain much more information that people care about. I understand you want more information about the film to be presented and that is fine, but those additions need to follow the rules and you need to respect the fact that SG-1 is now more important and its information almost always takes precedent. I base this not on my own preference, but on the objective reality of the situation. I'm sorry that this upsets you, but it is the way things are and I will continue doing the same thing I have been doing. Oh and just because the books aren't canon doesn't mean we don't need to follow Wikipedia policies. Present any information you want, as long as it doesn't violate the rules I will have no problem with it. Konman72 21:38, 3 October 2006 (UTC)
Jaffa
[edit]It has been stated in a few episodes. I can't remember specific episodes (If you must have one then Hathor would work, however that episode is mostly non-canon, for various reasons, so it wouldn't be great, but there are others), but trust me that it is true. The reason for this is because (I would recommend not judging which universe makes more sense until you are completely familiar with both ;) ) the implantation acceptance rate was only about 20% before Jaffa were made. This is because the DNA didn't match and all that jazz, but taking humans and making them incubate the symbiote made them more acceptable. Also, your reasoning of "why put your kids inside your cannon fodder" does not work because most goa'uld do not want other goa'ulds to come to maturity (ask yourself this, would Ra from the film "universe" want other beings of his kind around if he had the choice?). That would only make for more competition and further fracturing of the power structure. This is further exemplified in the episode "Summit" in which it is revealed that the System Lords have begun eating/killing other symbiotes, thus diminishing the increase in population. Now, when they have a goa'uld that they want to become an adult they take that Jaffa and take care of it. This is seen in "Children of the Gods" when Apophis chooses the host for his queen, who was inside a female jaffa that was obviously well taken care of. The goa'uld symbiotes in the male/warrior jaffa are completely expendable. Also, the addition of the symbiote to the human physiology (inside the jaffa) gives them both super-strength and amazing healing abilities, two very important qualities in a warrior.

Ra Picture
[edit]Just so you know I'm not contesting the Ra picture that you have put up. It looks exactly like how he looked in the movie so it makes sense. However it does need citation before it can just be left on the page. Find that (which you should already have since you found it in the first place lol) and I will completely leave you alone. Konman72 04:58, 9 May 2007 (UTC)
- It's cool, don't worry about it. Yeah, to cite a source just put the link in these things: [putlinkhere] and it should just make a link to that place. Konman72 07:21, 11 May 2007 (UTC)
- Got it! That was a really cool/good find! Thanks for the contribution. Konman72 19:37, 13 May 2007 (UTC)

Hi! I notice that you added unsolicited links to the new page Azkadellia, a work in progress, from the pages for Tin Man and Kathleen Robertson, by which I infer that you think it is worth keeping. This page has been nominated for deletion via WP:AFD. Could I trouble you to take a look at the AfD page and vote? Thanks! Banazir (talk) 08:01, 5 December 2007 (UTC)
- Thanks for your help in getting the page kept! I'm quite happy with the shape it's taken. Nice to make your acquaintance, too! - Banazir (talk) 07:48, 15 December 2007 (UTC)
Hi Promus Kaa, I'm glad I could help. I had never heard of Lane before I read the article, but I like wandering around Wiki-land and learning new things. I make edits when I can and try to make articles better when possible. I'm glad we've crossed pathes. Happy editing, Clerks. (talk) 14:05, 10 December 2007 (UTC)

You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.
