Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited Joe Saunders (Florida politician), you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Orange County (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

I agree with all of your tags. This is not really meant to be an article, but a resting place for consensually removed content which someone may care a great deal about. I want to give any latent objectors a chance to justify inclusion source-by-source. You are welcome to discuss this on the sub-page talk, but I won't fault you for the drive-by. Hi, I have seen that in my article you have given a box which says that to add secondary reliable sources to my article, would you please explain me, why you have given that ? Because, in that page almost all references are very important and all from reliable sources such as the main news papers of India and some other reputed websites, that is the reason I am asking you. Thanks Mydreamsparrow (talk) 06:20, 24 December 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Hi. Thank you so much the early reply. If possible guide me how to make it clear that the person is a notable one. I have given references for the best level and he is one of the very famous person in India and sonme other countries. He is a reputed social worker too. Please guide me how to keep my article without your box. Thanks Mydreamsparrow (talk) 07:03, 24 December 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Changing UCF's logo from the Knight Head to the stacked UCF letters.

[edit]

Hello Nemesis,

I was browsing the UCF Knights football article and noticed that the team's logo in the infobox was incorrect. The Knight Head is a valid logo, but it is the program's secondary logo. I wanted to see if I could have your permission to change the logo to the primary logo, the "stacked" UCF.

Thank you for your time.

Best,

PurpleShore9

PurpleShore9 (talk) 06:48, 26 December 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Addendum:

Thank you for your prompt response to my request and your kind words. Also, Happy Holidays to you as well!

I hate to bother, but I noticed that the Knight Head is still present on a few pages: Marching Knights, UCF Knights, UCF Knights, Baseball, UCF Knights men's basketball, UCF Knights men's soccer, UCF Knights softball, UCF Knights women's basketball, UCF Knights women's soccer, and UCF Knights women's volleyball (the links to the pages can be found here - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:UCF_Knightro_logo.png). Would you mind changing those to the stacked UCF as well?

Or, would you mind if I went ahead and changed those logos myself? If you are okay with the latter, could you perhaps give me a tutorial on how to change the pictures/logos? If not, I completely understand.

Thanks again,

PurpleShore9

Expansion of 1BOG spinoffs

[edit]

I am currently working on the articles for 1BOG, Virgance and Dave Llorens (and may add a couple others re disruptive and Steve Newcomb). I happen to think the topics (which are related) are important and represent a potential tipping point in the adoption of solar in the US and therefore of better air quality worldwide. I thought I would check in with you to see what exactly your concerns might be so I can make sure I meet them. I understand that the two new articles are barely stub-class and within the realm of BLP -- I hope to address that with what I do today. Also, I have not had an article flagged for notability before; is the protocol the same as for RS and copy edit --- just take the templates off if I feel I have addressed them? Thanks for any enlightenment Elinruby (talk) 22:37, 27 December 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Orphaned non-free media (File:UCFTV.png)

[edit]

Thanks for uploading File:UCFTV.png. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

Adding Color to Maps

[edit]

Hey Nemesis,

How are things going? Long time no chat.

I wanted to ask how you added color to the U.S. map on the AAC page - coloring in which states are represented by teams. Thanks and Charge On! — Preceding unsigned comment added by PurpleShore9 (talkcontribs) 04:12, 4 April 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Hello PurpleShore9, It's pretty simple, I just used photoshop to color in the states based upon the blank US map template linked in the file description. I just updated both AAC map files, the conference map and the conference member locations, and responded to the discussions on their respective talk pages. #ChargeOn --Nemesis63 (talk) 05:01, 4 April 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Okay. Also, how did you add the member key to the map with the individual schools? My goal is to add additional colors to the AAC map to show states represented by future members (e.g. red for future all sports and green for future associate) and to add a key to show what each color means. File permission problem with File:UCF Foucault pendulum.jpg

[edit]

Thanks for uploading File:UCF Foucault pendulum.jpg, which you've attributed to FLICKR= (CC BY-NC-ND 2.0). I noticed that while you provided a valid copyright licensing tag, there is no proof that the creator of the file has agreed to release it under the given license.

If you created this media entirely yourself but have previously published it elsewhere (especially online), please either

  • make a note permitting reuse under the CC-BY-SA or another acceptable free license (see this list) at the site of the original publication; or
  • Send an email from an address associated with the original publication to [email protected], stating your ownership of the material and your intention to publish it under a free license. You can find a sample permission letter here. If you take this step, add {{OTRS pending}} to the file description page to prevent premature deletion.

If you did not create it entirely yourself, please ask the person who created the file to take one of the two steps listed above, or if the owner of the file has already given their permission to you via email, please forward that email to [email protected].

If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Non-free content, use a tag such as {{non-free fair use}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:File copyright tags#Fair use, and add a rationale justifying the file's use on the article or articles where it is included. See Wikipedia:File copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have provided evidence that their copyright owners have agreed to license their works under the tags you supplied, too. You can find a list of files you have created in your upload log. Files lacking evidence of permission may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. You may wish to read the Wikipedia's image use policy. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.  Ronhjones  (Talk) 20:29, 9 April 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Edit of MAQ Software article

[edit]

Hi Nemesis. I thank you for your improvements and edits on MAQ Software article. However, I find you have added a notability tag up-top. I have added this article since many people have been looking for information on this company as it provides good job opportunities for engineering grads in India looking to work in high technology. A simple Google search lists all the colleges/ platforms interested in positions available at this company. Thousands of such candidates like us would want to get more information about it without having to scrounge.

Would like to inform you that MAQ Software is approximately 400 people strong company. I think it has grown significantly in the 13 years since its inception. It can be corroborated by the fact that it has received coverage on international media such as follows:

  1. High technology from India is just down the street
  2. The India network: The entrepreneur Rajeev Agarwal, 39
  3. Puget Sound Business Journal Discusses Software Products being Developed in India

Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

University of Central Florida College of Nursing

[edit]

Hello Nemesis63,

I noticed you are a part of the UCF Wikiproject and had a question. The UCF College of Nursing page is very minimal and I would like to assist in updating the page to provide more content. I am familiar with Wikipedia guidelines and citing sources.

My question is what is the best way to update the page. I am a marketing/communications professional working with the College. Shall I send content to you or post in the "talk" section? Or can I edit it directly? I don't want to violate COI policies, but noticed the college's page is high importance on the project scale.

Please let me know or email me through Wikipedia.

Image Copyright problem

Thank you for uploading File:UCF Foucault Pendulum.jpg.

This image is a derivative work, containing an "image within an image". Examples of such images would include a photograph of a sculpture, a scan of a magazine cover, or a screenshot of a computer game or movie. In each of these cases, the rights of the creator of the original image must be considered, as well as those of the creator of the derivative work.

While the description page states who made this derivative work, it currently doesn't specify who created the original work, so the overall copyright status is unclear. If you did not create the original work depicted in this image, you will need to specify the owner of the copyright.

If you have uploaded other derivative works, consider checking that you have specified their source and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have created in your upload log. Unsourced and untagged images may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described in section F4 of the criteria for speedy deletion.
