Welcome to Wikipedia. It might not have been your intention, but your recent edit removed maintenance templates from MRSM Terendak. When removing maintenance templates, please be sure to either resolve the problem that the template refers to, or give a valid reason for the removal in the edit summary. If this was a mistake, don't worry, as your removal of this template has been reverted. Take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia, and if you would like to experiment, please use the sandbox. Thank you. Welcome to Wikipedia. Although everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia, your addition of one or more external links to the page MRSM Terendak has been reverted.
Your edit here to MRSM Terendak was reverted by an automated bot that attempts to remove links which are discouraged per our external links guideline. The external link(s) you added or changed (http://www.facebook.com/exmrsmterendak) is/are on my list of links to remove and probably shouldn't be included in Wikipedia.
If you were trying to insert an external link that does comply with our policies and guidelines, then please accept my creator's apologies and feel free to undo the bot's revert. However, if the link does not comply with our policies and guidelines, but your edit included other, constructive, changes to the article, feel free to make those changes again without re-adding the link. Please read Wikipedia's external links guideline for more information, and consult my list of frequently-reverted sites. For more information about me, see my FAQ page. School anthem

[edit]

Thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. I am the person who deleted your school anthem from the article MRSM Terendak. You restored it, and then someone else deleted it again. I understand your surprise, because I learned the hard way that school anthems (and other lyrics to songs) should not be included in Wikipedia. I once added the school anthem and school fight song to the article about my own high school, Oakland Technical High School. I was surprised when someone removed them as "non-notable".[1] But I came to understand that such songs do not belong in an encyclopedia. If you look at the articles for other schools, at Category:High schools and secondary schools, I think you will find that they do not include the lyrics to school songs. Also, this is the English Wikipedia, and material included in this encyclopedia should normally be in English. Thanks for understanding! --MelanieN (talk) 15:34, 14 November 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you for your explanation. I understand. Yes, I was surprised. I noticed that it was deleted again but since I find the editor comment seems fair, I let it be removed until I sort the rights issue. The song in question is owned by the school system. It is either written by or commissioned by the founder. It belongs to the school and not taken from any popular song. The history is still vague at the moment. I have informed the alumni about this article and awaits further cooperation from them to improve this article. Nevertheless, I disagree on the reason. Since it happened to you as well, I wonder if there is an avenue for discussion on this issue? I believe this issue is fair to be debated and not frivolous in any manner. I personally find that it is an important character of the school and warrants to be encyclopaedic too. I also disagree that for the song being in another language, in this case Malay, it should not be included. There is separate article on Malay Wikipedia about the school but the article in English is also important since we like the world to know about the school. Our alumni has been going around the world, went to top UK and US universities and graduate schools for Masters and PHDs and serve as diplomats, just to name a few of our achievement.

Hi, this message is to let you know about disambiguation links you've recently created. A link to a disambiguation page is almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. For more information, see the FAQ or drop a line at the DPL WikiProject.

This is an automated message from CorenSearchBot. I have performed a search with the contents of Universiti Sultan Zainal Abidin, and it appears to be very similar to another Wikipedia page: Universiti Darul Iman Malaysia. It is possible that you have accidentally duplicated contents, or made an error while creating the page— you might want to look at the pages and see if that is the case. If you are intentionally trying to rename an article, please see Help:Moving a page for instructions on how to do this without copying and pasting. If you are trying to move or copy content from one article to a different one, please see Wikipedia:Copying within Wikipedia and be sure you have acknowledged the duplication of material in an edit summary to preserve attribution history.

It is possible that the bot is confused and found similarity where none actually exists. If that is the case, you can remove the tag from the article. CorenSearchBot (talk) 01:56, 8 December 2011 (UTC)[reply]
