Copy of deleted article Vaughn J Featherstone
[edit]Hi. Could you please provide me a copy of the deleted article Vaughn J Featherstone or Vaughn J. Featherstone? Many additional sources are available and I'd like to see whether I might be able to flesh it out. Thanks much. Davemc0 (talk) 19:16, 1 January 2025 (UTC)
- @Davemc0: Sorry for the late reply. I see Casliber has already undeleted it and moved it to User talk:Davemc0/Vaughn J. Featherstone. Regards SoWhy 17:30, 3 January 2025 (UTC)
- Thank you. Sorry to ask both of you. I did it because no one else had responded. Davemc0 (talk) 17:51, 6 January 2025 (UTC)
Need help in re-assessment and layout
[edit]I'm working on an article about Maldivian politician Ahmed Haitham and would appreciate feedback on how to proceed with reassessment. I'm facing challenges due to the extensive details of his noteworthy legislation, anti-corruption efforts, and numerous scandals, all supported by hundreds of citations. The article is already as concise as possible, but I'm concerned it may exceed length limits once I include information about his assassination attempt and over 20 parliamentary works. I'm seeking guidance from someone experienced in handling such comprehensive political biographies, particularly regarding article length management and reassessment processes NormadicEditor (talk) 10:23, 5 January 2025 (UTC)
- @NormadicEditor: Thanks for your confidence but I don't think I am the right person to ask in this case since I am not an avid article writer (despite some featured work) and have no experience with such articles. I suggest you check out Wikipedia:WikiProject Maldives or Wikipedia:WikiProject Politics and ask one of their members for input, like for example Cullen328 who is very knowledgeable in both politics and article writing. Good luck! Regards SoWhy 19:40, 8 January 2025 (UTC)
- Thank you :) (Now I will lack confidence, Since you mentioned I needed confidence for asking help) NormadicEditor (talk) 19:50, 8 January 2025 (UTC)
Administrators' newsletter – January 2025
[edit]News and updates for administrators from the past month (December 2024).
- Following an RFC, Wikipedia:Notability (species) was adopted as a subject-specific notability guideline.
- A request for comment is open to discuss whether admins should be advised to warn users rather than issue no-warning blocks to those who have posted promotional content outside of article space.
- The Nuke feature also now provides links to the userpage of the user whose pages were deleted, and to the pages which were not selected for deletion, after page deletions are queued. This enables easier follow-up admin-actions.
- Following the 2024 Arbitration Committee elections, the following editors have been elected to the Arbitration Committee: CaptainEek, Daniel, Elli, KrakatoaKatie, Liz, Primefac, ScottishFinnishRadish, Theleekycauldron, Worm That Turned.
- A New Pages Patrol backlog drive is happening in January 2025 to reduce the number of unreviewed articles and redirects in the new pages feed. Sign up here to participate!
