An article you recently created, 2008 Catalunya GP2 Series round, does not have enough sources and citations as written to remain published. It needs more citations from reliable, independent sources. (?) Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. When you feel the article meets Wikipedia's general notability guideline and thus is ready for mainspace, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page. noq (talk) 14:25, 6 December 2020 (UTC)[reply]

A tag has been placed on Category:2008 GP2 Series rounds requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section C1 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the category has been empty for seven days or more and is not a disambiguation category, a category redirect, a featured topics category, under discussion at Categories for discussion, or a project category that by its nature may become empty on occasion.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Liz Read! Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Rapax Team, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Sergey Sirotkin. Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)

Adding birth dates to articles

[edit]

Hi Stikru. When adding a birth date to an article, would it be possible for you to add a reference? Otherwise you risk other editors removing the information because it's unsourced. If you don't know how to add a reference, you can find instructions at Wikipedia:Citing sources. Worst case, if you can include an indication of where you found the information in the edit summary, another editor can add the reference for you. Thanks. Once you have provided at least one reliable source, you may remove the {{prod blp/dated}} tag. Please do not remove the tag unless the article is sourced. If you cannot provide such a source within seven days, the article may be deleted, but you can request that it be undeleted when you are ready to add one. ––FormalDude talk 05:43, 3 November 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Please do not move this back to mainspace without addressing the issues that caused it to be moved to draftspace in the first place. Please read WP:Notability, WP:Reliable sources and ensure that there are sufficient references to establish notability. Moving it to draftspace protects it from being nominated for deletion - if you cannot provide those reliable sources then the article does not qualify to exist in Wikipedia and could be deleted. noq (talk) 10:46, 15 December 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Additionally if you would like to have someone review articles you create before they go live so they are not nominated for deletion shortly after you post them, allow me to suggest the article creation process and using our search feature to find related information we already have in the encyclopedia. Try not to be discouraged. Wikipedia looks forward to your future contributions. noq (talk) 12:51, 15 December 2021 (UTC)[reply]

The page Greg Baker (Formula One) has been speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This was done under section G12 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page appeared to be an unambiguous copyright infringement. This page appeared to be a direct copy from https://web.archive.org/web/20050223011125/http://www.f1.on.net/view.asp?id=1034 and https://www.motorsport.com/f1/news/tales-former-f1-chief-mechanic-952404/3045942/. You may use external websites or other printed material as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. This part is crucial: say it in your own words. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators will be blocked from editing.

If the external website or image belongs to you, and you want to allow Wikipedia to use the text or image — which means allowing other people to use it for any reason — then you must verify that externally by one of the processes explained at Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials. The page Jean-François Caubet has been speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This was done under section G12 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page appeared to be an unambiguous copyright infringement. This page appeared to be a direct copy from https://motorsport.nextgen-auto.com/en/formula-1/Renault-s-Caubet-retires,52129.html. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images taken from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition has been be deleted.

The same holds if you are not the owner but have their permission. If you are not the owner and do not have permission, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission for how you may obtain it. You might want to look at Wikipedia's copyright policy for more details, or ask a question here.

Please do not recreate the material without addressing these concerns, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Information icon Hello. Thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia.

When editing Wikipedia, there is a field labeled "Edit summary" below the main edit box. It looks like this:

Edit summary (Briefly describe your changes)

You can use the edit summary field to explain your reasoning for an edit, or provide a description of what the edit changes. Summaries save time for other editors and reduce the chances your edit will be misunderstood. For some edits a summary may be quite brief.

Please provide an edit summary for every edit you make. With a Wikipedia account you can give yourself a reminder to add an edit summary by setting Preferences → Editing → Tick Prompt me when entering a blank edit summary. Thanks! Skarmory (talk • contribs) 07:53, 31 January 2022 (UTC)[reply]
