Help with NBC News?

[edit]

Hi,

I have started a discussion about what I consider to be an incomplete and misleading paragraph in the NBC News article about the Harvey Weinstein investigation: Talk:NBC_News#Correct_misleading_paragraph

I'm an experienced Wikipedia editor but as a paid consultant to NBC News, I am seeking an independent review of my proposed changes, as per WP: COI.

If you happen to have the time/interest to help out, I'd very much appreciate it.

Thanks! BC1278 (talk) 21:27, 14 February 2018 (UTC)BC1278[reply]

Took a look, thanks for looping me in, BC1278. Tfkalk (talk) 23:00, 14 February 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Another NBC News issue

[edit]

Hi,

Thanks for weighing in on the Weinstein issue at NBC News. If you happen to have time, there is a current discussion of how to handle Matt Lauer firing on the NBC News page: Talk:NBC_News#Expanded_info_on_Matt_Lauer and importantly, on the article about the president of NBC News, Noah Oppenheim, where I think it's been mishandled as unbalanced criticism instead of a neutral statement. Talk:Noah_Oppenheim#Lauer_content

Thanks so much for any help you can offer. BC1278 (talk) 20:40, 15 February 2018 (UTC)BC1278[reply]

Hi, BC1278. Thanks for letting me know. I will take a look at those articles shortly. Tfkalk (talk) 21:40, 15 February 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Help reviewing proposed edits?

[edit]

Hi!

I am writing again because of you're a member of the Journalism project. I was a journalist for 25 years so it's a topic that interests mea great deal. Anyway, I have a conflict of interest with respect to the article about the journalist Jonathan Swan as a paid consultant to his current publisher, Axios. I think the article can be massively improved and I've made a series of proposed changes here: Talk:Jonathan_Swan#Request_Edits. If you could take a look, it would be much appreciated. I don't make edits directly on the article because of the WP: COI policy. But I am an experienced Wikipedia editor and try my best to abide by the five pillars. Thanks! You've been unsubscribed from the Feedback Request Service

[edit]

Hi Tfkalk! You're receiving this notification because you were previously subscribed to the Feedback Request Service, but you haven't made any edits to the English Wikipedia in over six months.

In order to declutter the Feedback Request Service list, and to produce a greater chance of active users being randomly selected to receive invitations to contribute, you've been unsubscribed, along with all other users who have made no edits in six months.

You do not need to do anything about this - if you are happy to not receive Feedback Request Service messages, thank you very much for your contributions in the past, and this will be the last you hear from the service. If, however, you would like to resubscribe yourself, you can follow the below instructions to do so:

  1. Go to the Feedback Request Service page.
  2. Decide which categories are of interest to you, under the RfC and/or GA headings.
  3. Paste {{Frs user|Tfkalk|limit}} underneath the relevant heading(s), where limit is the maximum number of requests you wish to receive for that category per month.
  4. Publish the page.

If you've just come back after a wikibreak and are seeing this message, welcome back! You can follow the above instructions to re-activate your subscription. Likewise, if this is an alternate account, please consider subscribing your main account in much the same way.

Note that if you had a rename and left your old name subscribed to the FRS, you may be receiving this message on your new username's talk page still. If so, make sure your new account name is subscribed to the FRS, using the same procedure mentioned above.

If you have any questions, please feel free to ask on the Feedback Request Service talk page, or on the Feedback Request Service bot's operator's talk page. Thank you! Pinduoduo proposal feedback

[edit]

Hi, I see that you’re an active member of the Retailing WikiProject and I was wondering if you might be willing to have a look at a proposal I just submitted to fix issues with the article for Pinduoduo. (I have a COI as an employee of Pinduoduo’s sister company Temu and am trying to adhere strictly to the rules, which is why I’ve made a proposal instead of editing the page myself.) As you might know, Pinduoduo is China’s biggest e-commerce company for agricultural produce, so I hope that you might find the subject matter intriguing given your interest in Retail. Thanks very much for your time! Snowy2000 (talk) 17:14, 10 March 2023 (UTC)[reply]
