Swift and football

[edit]

Hi. The piece of information you added to Cultural impact of Taylor Swift has been moved to a better place in the Public image of Taylor Swift. Regards. ℛonherry 20:30, 9 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]

I don't agree but at least you're now trying to discuss.— Vchimpanzee • talk • contributions • 20:34, 9 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]
I do not appreciate passive aggressive comments such as this one. I always try to discuss. Maybe do not grandstand so much, and try to give the benefit of doubt. Maybe I missed the notification from that talk page discussion or I did not get notified at all (it was the latter case, actually). Regards. ℛonherry 12:29, 14 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]
I didn't mean it that way, but you didn't discuss and I don't know why.
I used the template which I assumed gave you a notification. I apologize if I didn't try harder.— Vchimpanzee • talk • contributions • 20:03, 14 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]
I apologize too. Even if I didn't get notified, I must've checked the talk page, just in case, before making the edit. ℛonherry 18:24, 15 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Thank you. All is well, then. I disagree with the decision to put all that information in the other article, but it would be pretty hard to convince others. To me it looks like "impact" not "image" but if the information was already split, there's not much point in trying.— Vchimpanzee • talk • contributions • 18:28, 15 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Notice

The article Team Whistle has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Advertising or other spam without any relevant or encyclopedic content

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Invitation to participate in a research

[edit]

Hello,

The Wikimedia Foundation is conducting a survey of Wikipedians to better understand what draws administrators to contribute to Wikipedia, and what affects administrator retention. We will use this research to improve experiences for Wikipedians, and address common problems and needs. We have identified you as a good candidate for this research, and would greatly appreciate your participation in this anonymous survey.

You do not have to be an Administrator to participate.

The survey should take around 10-15 minutes to complete. You may read more about the study on its Meta page and view its privacy statement .

Please find our contact on the project Meta page if you have any questions or concerns.

Kind Regards,

WMF Research Team

Creating such redirects

[edit]

Please don't create redirects simply to avoid red links from typos people make on discussion pages. If it's an obvious typo and the intended meaning is clear, just correct it. You'll find under WP:TPO that one of the examples of appropriate edits is Fixing links: if the linked-to page has moved, a talk page section has been archived, the link is simply broken by a typographical error, or it unintentionally points to a disambiguation page etc. (emphasis added). If it's unclear, you should not be creating a redirect at all, since changing the link from red to blue changes its meaning. --Paul_012 (talk) 08:57, 3 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Okay, I'll do that. If I can fix a link to something that has been archived since the post, then I guess nothing is wrong with fixing the link to a Wikipedia article or something in Wikipedia space.
I have also asked the person who originally posted to correct.
I'm sure I've done this more than just the two times. Can we find the others? — Vchimpanzee • talk • contributions • 19:02, 3 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Wikipedia:WIKIBULLYING, Alcoa Power Generating Inc, Wikipedia:Translating from German Wikipedia, AT&T Now, Wikipedia:RSreliable sources, Bruce Wayne (Dark Knight Trilogy), Wikipedia:Paid editing disclosure policy, Pine Island station, Oprah Winfrey Network (American TV channel), Wikipedia:REVERET, Wikipedia:Requested Articles/Business and economics/Companies, Wikipedia:Rejected, Help:PURGE, Help:Gadget-ProveIt, Articles for deletion/Health of Donald Trump (being discussed right now)
Most would be easy keeps, though I have my doubts on project space misspellings. TeapotsOfDoom (talk) 23:27, 3 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Also, there is Wikipedia:GALLEERY and Wikipedia:NODEALINES, which aren't created from red links but are pretty implausible redirects. TeapotsOfDoom (talk) 23:31, 3 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Agreed, most of those, especially the ones in the article space, would be "keep"s from me if they were nominated at RFD. Steel1943 (talk) 16:41, 7 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]
I think the unlikely typos at least (REVERET, GALLEERY, NODEALINES) can be safely deleted. If you agree, you can tag them for speedy deletion with {{db-g7}}. --Paul_012 (talk) 09:46, 4 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Well, I obviously got those from somewhere, but I went ahead. If I don't know where they are, there's nothing to fix.— Vchimpanzee • talk • contributions •
Correction: What links here did give me one of those and I found it with CTRL-F and fixed it.— Vchimpanzee • talk • contributions • 19:18, 4 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]
The search of your contributions in the "Wikipedia:" namespace that are page creations would probably be a more helpful point of reference. At this point, there's only one more I see in that list that's not currently at RFD that may need to go, so I'm going to nominate it, but feel free to tag with {{Db-g7}} if necessary. ArbCom 2024 Elections voter message

[edit]

Hello! Voting in the 2024 Arbitration Committee elections is now open until 23:59 (UTC) on Monday, 2 December 2024. All eligible users are allowed to vote. Users with alternate accounts may only vote once.

The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to impose binding solutions to disputes between editors, primarily for serious conduct disputes the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the authority to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail.

If you wish to participate in the 2024 election, please review the candidates and submit your choices on the voting page. If you no longer wish to receive these messages, you may add {{NoACEMM}} to your user talk page. MediaWiki message delivery (talk) 00:13, 19 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]
