Hi. Thankyou for your participation in the challenge series or/and contests. In November The Women in Red World Contest is being held to try to produce new articles for as many countries worldwide and occupations as possible. There will be over $4000 in prizes to win, including Amazon vouchers and paid subscriptions. If this would appeal to you and you think you'd be interested in contributing new articles on Indian actresses or whatever during this month please sign up in the participants section. The articles done may also count towards the ongoing challenge. If you're not interested in prize money yourself but are willing to participate and raise money to buy books about women for others to use, this is also fine. Help would also be appreciated in drawing up the lists of missing articles. If you think of any missing articles please add them to the Indian list in the sub page on Asia at Missing articles. Thankyou, and if taking part, good luck!♦ Dr. Blofeld 09:12, 5 October 2017 (UTC)

[edit]If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.
You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.
A tag has been placed on Shikha Talsania, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G4 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page appears to be a repost of material that was previously deleted following a deletion discussion, such as at Articles for deletion. This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Miss information in Hrithik Roshan Wikipedia page
[edit]Hi Vikram maingi
I was going through Hrithik Roshan Wikipedia Page and notice that Citation [150] had been Inaccurately Quoted. The article no where mentions that the case was files to cover up the Divorce proceedings. Kangana did refute the allegations in media. More over Hrithik has files no case against Kangana. The case filed is against an anonymous source for cyber stalking and harassment. Besides all that the data "cover up the Divorce proceedings" at citation 150 is incorrect can you please remove this. Hi Sirajbrunton,
Ok I will look into this in some time. Thanks,

The pages you created about the players that made their T20I debuts does not meet the cricket notability, which states "Have appeared as a player for an Associate team in a Twenty20 International match after 1 July 2018 in either a World T20 (men or women), Global Qualifier (men or women) or Regional Final (men only)", which the players didn't. Speedy deletion nomination of Chandigarh cricket team
[edit]If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.
You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.
A tag has been placed on Chandigarh cricket team requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a club, society, or group that does not credibly indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please read more about what is generally accepted as notable.
If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. India 10,000 challenge
[edit]WikiProject India 10,000 Challenge
[edit]The article COVID-19 pandemic in Chandigarh has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:
Nothing of significance here. There is no need to create articles for COVID-19 pandemic in xxxxx unless there is something exceptional about that x. This appears to be completely unremarkable.
While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.
You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}}
notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.
Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}}
will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. noq (talk) 21:40, 14 May 2020 (UTC)

Improving COVID city pages (India)
[edit]Hi Vikram Maingi We are starting this project to improve city pages (related to local government/municipality initiatives), hopefully will get round to it in the next few weeks. Please stay in touch! Tanyasingh (talk) 09:49, 5 June 2020 (UTC)
- Hi Tanyasingh Many Indian states' and UT pages for COVID-19 require a lot of updates. Can you look into them one by one and see if you could contribute to the betterment of the pages. Thanks, Vikram Maingi (talk) 10:51, 12 June 2020 (UTC)
Hi Vikram Maingi A bot is suggesting some pages about COVID-19 in cities in India be merged, and I see on this page that a few are up for deletion (Solomon Islands, Chandigarh). Rather than see them deleted it would be better if they could all be merged in the COVID-19 pandemic in India page. Some information would need to be condensed to make them fit and I have specific questions. Can we talk? Hopefully you see this before I go ahead. Nellas Galadhon (talk) 13:24, 14 July 2021 (UTC)
- Hi Nellas Galadhon, Chandigarh is not only a city but also a separate Union Territorry. In fact it is a capital of two Indian states, Punjab and Haryana. The data for Chandigarh is not a subset of any of the Indian states. So, it cannot be merged with any state and should be reflected separately. Thanks,Vikram Maingi (talk) 03:30, 15 July 2021 (UTC)
Hello, thanks for the information. My suggestion was not to merge it with any state, but with the main page on COVID-19-pandemic in India itself. From what I can tell on your talk page it seems you are facing either having these mergers, or having the stand-alone articles deleted entirely. I think it's prefereable not to lose them as they seem like important information. Nellas Galadhon (talk) 11:31, 15 July 2021 (UTC)

Speedy deletion nomination of COVID-19 pandemic in Solomon Islands
[edit]If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.
You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.
A tag has been placed on COVID-19 pandemic in Solomon Islands requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G12 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page appears to be an unambiguous copyright infringement. This page appears to be a direct copy from https://www.iomcworld.org/medical-journals/covid-treatment-in-french-guiana-56553.html. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images taken from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted. You may use external websites or other printed material as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. This part is crucial: say it in your own words. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators will be blocked from editing.
If the external website or image belongs to you, and you want to allow Wikipedia to use the text or image — which means allowing other people to use it for any reason — then you must verify that externally by one of the processes explained at Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials. The same holds if you are not the owner but have their permission. If you are not the owner and do not have permission, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission for how you may obtain it. You might want to look at Wikipedia's copyright policy for more details, or ask a question here.
Regarding repetitive creation of COVID–19 pandemic in Lakshadweep
[edit]Hi Vikram ! Please don't repetitively create the page COVID–19 pandemic in Lakshadweep, another page already exists COVID-19 pandemic in Lakshadweep. You are more than welcome to edit and update the COVID-19 pandemic in Lakshadweep. If you still feel COVID–19 pandemic in Lakshadweep
with a '–' instead of '-' will be a more appropriate title, then you can start a discussion to move at the talk page. Zoodino (talk) 09:03, 11 February 2021 (UTC)

I created COVID–19 pandemic in Lakshadweep page and have been constantly managing and updating it. I don't want to put efforts on the page created by the other user. You have another option for solution to this, so that Lakshadweep page for Covid19 is constantly updated.
Can you please 1. arrange for deletion of current COVID-19 pandemic in Lakshadweep 2. then move the page with my inputs (COVID–19 pandemic in Lakshadweep) to the COVID-19 pandemic in Lakshadweep page? Thanks,Vikram Maingi (talk) 09:23, 11 February 2021 (UTC)

Hungary in Austria
[edit]Please note that the page that you converted from a redirect for Hungarian cricket team in Austria in 2022 should not have been created as the series does not meet GNG and fails WPCRIC due to the lack of reputable third-party references. The reference that you included is of very low quality and not of note. Please be aware that series between associate nations do not necessarily deserve a wiki page, or rather they must have reliable references first. The intention was to wait and hope that somewhere like Cricket Europe would publish a review later. I won't nominate it for deletion, but please be aware of this as Admins may do so which would then make it more difficult to restore once references are available. Bs1jac (talk) 13:34, 5 June 2022 (UTC)
- Hi Bs1jac, will keep this in mind. Information will be added after checking from more reliable sources. By the way, how reliable a source is FanCode? Thanks,Vikram Maingi (talk) 08:49, 9 June 2022 (UTC)
- Hi - I have never considered FanCode to be honest. If they published proper previews with more than just fixtures etc then possibly, but I would guess not. Note that this weekend's series between Lux-Swi and Bel-Mlt also do not meet notability criteria, so feel free to add the results on the season summary article but please refrain from creating pages for these series unless decent previews or reviews are published. 2022 Asian Games medal table moved to draftspace
[edit]An article you recently created, 2022 Asian Games medal table, is not suitable as written to remain published. It needs more citations from reliable, independent sources. (?) Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:
" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. When you feel the article meets Wikipedia's general notability guideline and thus is ready for mainspace, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page.
The article should be moved to draft space for a while until the event started when it will become notable as medal counts start to matter. Thank you. ✠ SunDawn ✠ (contact) 12:58, 10 July 2022 (UTC)
Your draft article, Draft:Sunny Hinduja (2)
[edit]Hello, Vikram maingi. It has been over six months since you last edited the Articles for Creation submission or Draft page you started, "Sunny Hinduja".
In accordance with our policy that Wikipedia is not for the indefinite hosting of material deemed unsuitable for the encyclopedia mainspace, the draft has been deleted. If you plan on working on it further and you wish to retrieve it, you can request its undeletion. An administrator will, in most cases, restore the submission so you can continue to work on it.
Thanks for your submission to Wikipedia, and happy editing. ✗plicit 01:50, 26 July 2022 (UTC)
Cricket player profiles as redirects
[edit]Please stop creating profiles for players at the 2022 ICC Women's T20 World Cup Qualifier. Although playing in this makes them eligible for a page, this is subject to suitable references and there is no need to create redirects. Please feel free to create the articles as stubs, but we should not be creating lots of redirects that may never get created properly. Bs1jac (talk) 16:15, 18 September 2022 (UTC)
- OK. Will take of this. Also assure you that I will create proper articles of all the Redirects created today. Thanks,Vikram Maingi (talk) 16:19, 18 September 2022 (UTC)
- Thanks. Better to leave unlinked until the stubs are done. If you do create redirects, can you please point them to the relevant player list (e.g., List of United States women Twenty20 International cricketers). Bs1jac (talk) 20:55, 18 September 2022 (UTC)
- Sure. Will take care. Thanks,Vikram Maingi (talk) 03:00, 20 September 2022 (UTC)
Speedy deletion nomination of Sunny Hinduja
[edit]If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.
You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.
A tag has been placed on Sunny Hinduja requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G4 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page appears to be a repost of material that was previously deleted following a deletion discussion, at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Sunny Hinduja. When a page has substantially identical content to that of a page deleted after a discussion, and any changes in the content do not address the reasons for which the material was previously deleted, it may be deleted at any time.
If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator, or if you have already done so, you can place a request here. Onel5969 TT me 13:11, 23 September 2022 (UTC)
The article will be discussed at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Geua Tom until a consensus is reached, and anyone, including you, is welcome to contribute to the discussion. The nomination will explain the policies and guidelines which are of concern. The discussion focuses on high-quality evidence and our policies and guidelines.
Users may edit the article during the discussion, including to improve the article to address concerns raised in the discussion. However, do not remove the article-for-deletion notice from the top of the article until the discussion has finished.

Article creations fail minimum requirements
[edit]Hi there. Articles you recently created (Geua Tom, Nanthita Boonsukham, Rithika Rajith, etc) do not meet the minimum requirements of WP:NSPORT in that WP:SPORTCRIT requires all new biographies of sportspeople to contain at least one example of WP:SIGCOV. Given how unlikely it is that sufficient significant coverage (in order to write a complete article) is available, such people are usually best covered in lists, e.g. List of United Arab Emirates women Twenty20 International cricketers, etc. Please do not create any more articles that fail minimum requirements. Thanks, wjematherplease leave a message... 17:39, 3 October 2022 (UTC)
- @Wjemather: Hi there. I think this page should stay as the player has played in 2022 ICC Women's T20 World Cup Qualifier tournament. As per Wiki Project Cricket Notability, the player's page can be created. Please check and let me know if any important point has been missed. Thanks,Vikram Maingi (talk) 14:59, 4 October 2022 (UTC)
- There have been substantial changes over the last year or so, with the cricket guideline, WP:NCRIC, being tightened significantly and then a massive RFC that concluded with huge changes to the overarching guideline, WP:NSPORT. Unfortunately, the wikiproject's essay WP:CRIN remains out of sync with these changes so currently serves no purpose; also, as an essay, it has little standing. The only relevant notability standards are contained within NSPORT, namely NCRIC and WP:SPORTCRIT. NCRIC only presumes the existence of significant coverage for international players for Test playing nations, while SPORTCRIT requires at least one instance of such coverage in sports biographies from creation. Additionally, all such articles must ultimately meet WP:GNG (or a non-sports WP:SNG that offers a presumption of notability). The deletion discussion above (Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Geua Tom) illustrates very well where community consensus is with these articles. Regards, wjematherplease leave a message... 18:16, 4 October 2022 (UTC)
- Vikram maingi. WP:NCRIC states "Additionally, cricketers who have played at the highest domestic level, or in the lower levels of international cricket, may have sufficient coverage about them to justify an article, but it should not be assumed to exist without further proof." You are correct in that WP:CRIN (which expands on WP:NCRIC) does state that "The 'highest international or domestic level' qualification includes any player (both men and women) who has appeared in... a Twenty20 International for an Associate team after 1 January 2019 (men) or 1 July 2018 (women) in either a T20 World Cup (men or women) or Global Qualifier (men or women)". This applies to your recent creations, so they do meet minimum cricketing criteria, but to pass WP:NCRIC in full there must be sufficient sources including at least one that would satisfy WP:GNG, and that databases (while of course useful to include) do not count towards these requirements. i.e. such a payer would need to play in certain competitions AND have some suitable coverage located (or pass WP:GNG through other reasons). [edit]As noted in the discussion itself at Wikipedia:Redirects_for_discussion/Log/2023_January_16#International_Cricket_in_2024-25, moving titles under active discussion at RfD makes a mess of the process, impeding both potential participants and closers of the discussion, in addition to giving the impression of trying to circumvent consensus. Cricinfo or Cricket Archive
[edit]The stats for Nat Sciver-Brunt's List A career are on Cricket Archive, but not Espncrocinfo. Therefore, changing the source on there to Cricinfo violates WP:VERIFY, as it doesn't support all the stats in the infobox. Paywalled sources with all the information are better than free sources with partial information. Joseph2302 (talk) 23:51, 12 February 2023 (UTC)
League 2
[edit]Hi - Just FYI, the UAE were eliminated from contention for the top 3 in the middle of round 20 because the first tie-breaker if level on points is total number of wins (and then head-to-head record), not net run rate. Irrelevant now as they have lost again, but could still be worth noting if other teams finish level on points. Bs1jac (talk) 14:11, 10 March 2023 (UTC)
