- le lac Taïmyr sépare le cours supérieur du Taïmyr de son cours inférieur.
- le golfe de Taïmyr est l'embouchure du fleuve homonyme.

- la péninsule de Taïmyr est une péninsule russe du nord de la Sibérie centrale qui constitue la partie la plus septentrionale de l'Asie ;
- l’île Taïmyr est une île côtière de Russie, située dans la mer de Kara ;
- l’île Maly Taïmyr est située dans la mer des Laptev ;
- le district dolgano-nénètse du Taïmyr est une subdivision de la Sibérie disparue en 2007, et qui correspond maintenant au Raïon dolgano-nénètse de Taïmyr.
