Dyskusja wikipedysty:MGA73 – Wikipedia, wolna encyklopedia

Hello MGA73, and welcome to Polish Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia. Thank you for logging in and for your contributions. I hope you like the place and you are going to stay. Our native language is Polish. If you feel you are stuck and need help, you can find answers asking any administrator or experienced Wikipedian (please note that in Polish Wikipedia there is a tradition of posting answers on the discussion page of the user we are talking to, except open discussions: such as votings, article talks or cafeteria).

You can also add this help template: {{pomocy|your problem here}} to your user page, and your questions are going to be answered shortly. Here are a few good links for newcomers:

  • Babel Tower which allows you to find (also by a category) Wikipedians speaking foreign languages
  • Cafeteria for our foreign guests is a place to discuss any issues in other languages (English preferred)
  • Preferences allows you to manage your account (e.g. you can change your skin, or interface language)
  • Help page (in Polish).

Remember: in pl.wikipedia.org we trust only GFDL, CC and PD graphic licenses, which means we do not accept any fair use content (including screenshots).

Once again welcome to Polish Wikipedia, and don't forget to tell us about yourself Electron   10:42, 9 sty 2020 (CET)[odpowiedz]

The copyright status in Denmark is irrevelant for files that are held on Polish wiki. Here is only important American and Polish copyrigth statuses and they are OK. American status is PD and Polish status is FOP (Freedom of Panorama). Also on Polish wiki we haven't got American fair use files because there are not free fair use in Polish copyrigt law, actually; so they are not accepted here. Also it is irrelevant if the file is used or not on our wiki to keep them on Polish wiki. They can be used in the future. It is like Polish little Commons archive for files that have got both statuses free: Polish and American. Regards Electron   10:28, 9 sty 2020 (CET)[odpowiedz]

OK. Thank you for the advice. It's a good idea. The main problem is that we have got not many people who are involved in work in our files archive, an there are not many people who knows good both (American an Polish) copyrigts laws. But I see what can I do... Electron   21:31, 9 sty 2020 (CET)[odpowiedz]

Hi! Could you elaborate why this template is needed in Polish Wikipedia and for which pages/files is intended? In general, we don’t allow local upload in pl.wiki, all files goes to Commons. Wostr (dyskusja) 00:13, 13 lip 2024 (CEST)[odpowiedz]

@Wostr Hello! I created it because MediaWiki:Licenses does not mention the latest version. There may not be many uploads locally but there are some as mentioned on the talk page of that page.
If files are copied from Commons because of FOP issues the license could perhaps be relevant? If not then you will have nice template that noone will use and you laugh of the crazy Dane that created it :-D
I'm currenly checking all wikis to see if they allow upload of GFDL, if the GFDL have disclaimers, if they use the latest version of CC, if connected via Wikidata and some other stuff too. You can see m:User:MGA73/GFDL files for some of the work. If you can persuade other wikis to do like pl.wikipedia it would be great! --MGA73 (dyskusja) 10:54, 13 lip 2024 (CEST)[odpowiedz]
Thanks for the answer, I was just a bit concerned that you were going to start adding some local files. And with the current ones, we have a problem that the pages and templates for them have not been updated for decades ;) Wostr (dyskusja) 14:35, 13 lip 2024 (CEST)[odpowiedz]
@Wostr lol no. Files should go to Commons whenever possible. Do you know if the Polish sisterprojects are up-to-date? If not you are very welcome to visit them and help them fix. --MGA73 (dyskusja) 15:19, 13 lip 2024 (CEST)[odpowiedz]
