Andale is a city in Sedgwick County, Kansas, United States. In 2020, 941 people lived there.[3]
History
[change | change source]Andale was created in the early 1880s.[4] The city's name is a portmanteau of the last names of two families of early settlers, the Andersons and Dales.[5]
Andale was a station and shipping point on the Missouri Pacific Railroad.[6]
Geography
[change | change source]Andale is at 37°47′28″N 97°37′45″W / 37.79111°N 97.62917°W (37.791221, -97.629156).[7] The United States Census Bureau says that the city has a total area of 0.57 square miles (1.48 km2). All of it is land.[2]

2020 census
[change | change source]The 2020 census says that there were 941 people, 307 households, and 244 families living in Andale. Of the households, 84.7% owned their home and 15.3% rented their home.
The median age was 31.1 years. Of the people, 96.0% were White, 0.3% were Black, 0.4% were some other race, and 3.3% were two or more races. Hispanic or Latino of any race were 3.4% of the people.[3][8]
2010 census
[change | change source]The 2010 census says that there were 928 people, 290 households, and 236 families living in Andale.[9]
Education
[change | change source]Andale is part of the Renwick USD 267 public school district. Andale has one high school and one elementary school. Andale High School's mascot is the Andale Indians. The school colors are black and gold.[10]
