Davison is a city in Genesee County in the U.S. state of Michigan and a suburb of Flint. The population was 5,143 at the 2020 census.[2] Davison is located within Davison Township. According to the United States Census Bureau, the city has a total area of 2.0 square miles (5.2 km2), which is all land. Davison was first settled in 1842 by Eleazer Thurston.[5] Davison was named after Judge Norman Davison, who founded a nearby town formerly known as Davisonville, now known as Atlas.
