Democracy for America (DFA) is a progressive political action committee, headquartered in South Burlington, Vermont. It was founded by former Democratic National Committee Chair Howard Dean in 2004. DFA works for public awareness campaigns on many issues of public policy, trains activists, and provides funding directly to candidates for office.[1] The organization has more than a million members in the United States and internationally.
