Vice Admiral Didier Ratsiraka (4 November 1936 – 28 March 2021) was a Malagasy politician. He was the President of Madagascar from 1975 to 1993 and from 1997 to 2002.[1] He was in exile from 2009 to 2011.[2]

Ratsiraka died on 28 March 2021 in Antananarivo, Madagascar from cardiac arrest caused by the influenza at the age of 84.[3]
