Freddie Garrity - Simple English Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Frederick Garrity (14 November 1936 – 19 May 2006 ) was an English singer and actor. He was best known as the singer of the English pop group Freddie and the Dreamers from 1959 until 2001. Before being a member of Freddie and the Dreamers, he was a milkman. He was well known in his local neighbourhood when he sang as he was delivering milk.[source?]
Between 1968 and 1973, Garrity and his former bandmate Pete Birrell (bass guitar) appeared in the ITV children's television program Little Big Time.[1]
Garrity retired from touring in 2001 when he became sick. He died in Bangor, Wales on 19 May 2006 aged 69.[2]
