Glinda the Good is a character in The Wonderful Wizard of Oz by L. Frank Baum. She is the Witch of the South. She explains to Dorothy how to use her magic Silver Slippers to go home to Kansas. She convinces Scarecrow that Ozma is the rightful Queen of Oz. She teaches The Wizard of Oz actual magic and she helps protect Oz from villains. One of the books, Glinda of Oz, is named after her.
