Minobu, Yamanashi - Simple English Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Minobu (身延町, Minobu-chō) is a Japanese town in Yamanashi Prefecture on the island of Honshu.[1]
History
[change | change source]The temple town grew up around Kuon-ji, which is one of the important sites of Nichiren Buddhism. Nichiren's grave is at Minobu.[1]
The modern village was established in 1889l. It became a town in 1931.
Geography
[change | change source]The Fuji River (Fujigawa) runs through the town.[1]
