Negligent homicide - Simple English Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Negligent homicide is the crime of killing a person unintentionally through negligence.[1] For example, someone might write a text message while driving a car, instead of paying attention to the road. If that makes them hit and kill someone, that is negligent homicide.
It is a lesser crime than murder or manslaughter and the sentences are lower.
