Palestinian Legislative Council - Simple English Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The Palestinian Legislative Council (PLC) is the unicameral legislature of the Palestinian Authority, elected by the Palestinian residents of the Palestinian territories of the West Bank and Gaza Strip.

It is made up of 132 members, elected from 16 electoral districts of the Palestinian Authority.[1]the duties of this council is to pass laws and supervise their implementation. And also this council acts as a parliament.[2]The Palestinian Legislative Council approves the budget of the Palestinian Authority, the Prime Minister and his government. Two parliamentary elections were held in 1996 and 2006, the winner of the first election was Fath and the winner of the second election was Hamas.[3]
