Sasamuta-jinja - Simple English Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Sasamuta-jinja (西寒多神社) is a Japanese Shinto shrine in Ōita, Ōita on the island of Kyushu.^[1]

History

Sasamuta was the chief Shinto shrine (ichinomiya) of the old Bungo Province. It serves today as one of the ichinomiya of Oita Prefecture. ^[2] This place is special to the kami named Amaterasu oomikami (天照皇大御神)^[1]
