Tim Matheson (born Timothy Lewis Matthieson; December 31, 1947) is an American actor and television director and producer.[1] He is best known for his roles as Eric "Otter" Stratton in the comedy movie National Lampoon's Animal House (1978) and of Vice President John Hoynes in the NBC drama The West Wing. He was also the voice of Johnny Quest in the animated series Jonny Quest.

Matheson played President Ronald Reagan in the 2016 television movie Killing Reagan. In 2019, he played businessman Henry Kaslan in the horror movie Child's Play.
