Wrexham A.F.C. is a football club located in Wrexham, Wales but playing in the English league system. After winning the championship of the fifth-level National League in the 2022–23 season, the club will play in EFL League Two in the 2023–24 season.
The club has received major international publicity since being purchased in November 2020 by American actor Rob McElhenney and Canadian–American actor Ryan Reynolds, with the purchase completed in February 2021. Their ownership of the club has since been the subject of the documentary series Welcome to Wrexham. The series airs on FX and Hulu in the United States and Disney+ in the UK and Ireland.
