Yuta Nakayama (中山 雄太, Nakayama Yuta, born February 16, 1997) is a Japanese football player. He plays for the Japan national team.
Biography
[change | change source]Nakayama was born in Ryugasaki on February 16, 1997. He joined J1 League club Kashiwa Reysol from their youth team in 2015. He played many matches as center back from 2016. In 2017, he was selected "Best Young Player award". In January 2019, he moved to Dutch Eredivisie club Zwolle.
In 2017, Nakayama was selected the Japan U-20 national team for 2017 U-20 World Cup. At this tournament, he played all 4 matches as center back with Takehiro Tomiyasu. In May 2019, he was selected the Japan national team for 2019 Copa América. At this tournament, he debuted against Chile on June 17.
