Tie-Breaker 1984
- In der NFC East beendeten die N.Y. Giants die Saison vor St. Louis und Dallas aufgrund der besseren Bilanz im direkten Vergleich (3–1 gegenüber 2–2 von St. Louis und Dallas 1–3).
- St. Louis war vor Dallas in der NFC East aufgrund ihrer besseren Division-Bilanz (5–3 gegenüber 3–5 von Dallas).
Die Play-offs begannen am 22. Dezember und liefen bis zum 6. Januar 1985. Die San Francisco 49ers gewannen ihren zweiten Super Bowl.
