Abezhdan (Persian: ابژدان)[a] is a city in, and the capital of, Abezhdan District of Andika County, Khuzestan province, Iran.[4]
Demographics

[edit]At the time of the 2006 National Census, Abezhdan's population was 789 in 146 households, when it was a village in Abezhdan Rural District of the former Andika District of Masjed Soleyman County.[5] The following census in 2011 counted 956 people in 208 households,[6] by which time the district had been separated from the county in the establishment of Andika County. The rural district was transferred to the new Abezhdan District.[4] The 2016 census measured the population as 1,673 people in 420 households,[2] when the village had been elevated to the status of a city.
