The Central District of Larestan County (Persian: بخش مرکزی شهرستان لارستان)[a] is in Fars province, Iran. Its capital is the city of Lar.[4]

History

After the 2006 National Census, the village of Latifi was elevated to the status of a city,[5] and in 2017, the village of Dehkuyeh rose to city status.[6]

At the time of the 2006 census, the district's population was 87,988 in 20,633 households.[7] The following census in 2011 counted 106,511 people in 26,167 households.[8] The 2016 census measured the population of the district as 104,146 inhabitants in 30,003 households.[2]
