Thanks for uploading File:Debris Linux.png. The image has been identified as not specifying the copyright status of the image, which is required by Wikipedia's policy on images. Even if you created the image yourself, you still need to release it so Wikipedia can use it. If you don't indicate the copyright status of the image on the image's description page, using an appropriate copyright tag, it may be deleted some time in the next seven days. If you made this image yourself, you can use copyright tags like {{PD-self}} (to release all rights), {{self|CC-by-sa-3.0|GFDL}} (to require that you be credited), or any tag here - just go to the image, click edit, and add one of those. If you have uploaded other images, please verify that you have provided copyright information for them as well.

For more information on using images, see the following pages:

This is an automated notice by STBotI. For assistance on the image use policy, see Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. NOTE: once you correct this, please remove the tag from the image's page. STBotI (talk) 18:04, 9 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Rollback

[edit]

I have granted rollback rights to your account; the reason for this is that after a review of some of your contributions, I believe I can trust you to use rollback correctly by using it for its intended usage of reverting vandalism, and that you will not abuse it by reverting good-faith edits or to revert-war. For information on rollback, see Wikipedia:New admin school/Rollback and Wikipedia:Rollback feature. If you do not want rollback, just let me know, and I'll remove it. Good luck and thanks. –Juliancolton | Talk 18:29, 15 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Re Unclear on deletion

[edit]

Hello,

Like you requested I'm responding on your En.wiki talkpage instead of my Commons talkpage.

I don't really know what went wrong the first time, I believe there was a error in the source. But the uploaded image is now correct :)

Best regards, Abigor (talk) 18:36, 15 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for getting back to me. Much appreciated. SilkTork *YES! 18:41, 15 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Deleted image

[edit]

Hi Abigor, you recently deleted this image File:Haplogroup E.png on commons indicating that it had no source. I had created the image myself based on the url I had placed in the infobox. I would like some clarification on the matter.

[edit]

hello, may you please let me know, why you took the 3 links for The word modules out ? and Theodore Austin-Sparks got the dead link back ! ?WHY? thanks for your effort ! micha 87.176.190.134 (talk) 00:59, 21 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Bridalveil Fall and Novapedia

[edit]

Hi Abigor, I'm writing concerning this edit you made to Bridalveil Fall, which included no edit summary. I have little familiarity with Novapedia, but I reverted the addition of the link because it appears to lack the kind of definitive authority that is appropriate in linked sites and falls foul of guidelines in several regards. In fact, if you read the text on the page in question, it's vague to the point of uselessness. Since you may know something I don't, I'm not reverting again until I hear from you. Cheers, Rivertorch (talk) 13:41, 28 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Update: As you haven't replied 34 hours later, I will remove the link again. It appears to be linkspam and certainly isn't compliant with WP:EL. (Still curious about your reasoning, though.) Cheers, Rivertorch (talk) 00:05, 30 March 2010 (UTC) hi,[reply]

I'm sorry I didn't respond much faster, but I still didn't get any email about new messages.

I reverted those links because they where placed there by a cross-wiki spammer on about 20 wiki's my advice would be to revert when it happen again, but I cant judge if its a usefull link. 188.207.80.36 (talk) 08:32, 30 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Assuming you're Abigor editing without logging in: I don't understand your response. I removed the spam link; you added it again. In any event, it's gone again, so not to worry. It is not customary to email other editors to inform them of new messages; when you log in, a prominent banner at the top of each page provides this function. Rivertorch (talk) 16:14, 30 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]

I was logged out sorry, When I am removing spam I am active on almost 400 wikis, so I enabled the function email me when my talkpages is changed on almost all of them but there seems to be a kind of lag with it. I will make sure I use good edit summaries, when I didn't do that I make it kind of hard for people to let know why I did something Abigor (talk) 08:39, 31 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Active on four hundred wikis? How do you find time to eat and sleep? :-) Rivertorch (talk) 16:00, 31 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]

A tag has been placed on WikiWeet requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about web content, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, as well as our subject-specific notability guideline for web content. You may also wish to consider using a Wizard to help you create articles - see the Article Wizard.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the page does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that they userfy the page or have a copy emailed to you. mark nutley (talk) 18:34, 4 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Documentation for gadget authors

[edit]

I saw you had done some work on gadgets. We're trying to start a library for gadget authors to use. Please check it out and post any questions or comments there — MarkAHershberger(talk) 19:21, 14 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.
