Welcome!
[edit]Welcome to Wikipedia, Jan11989! I am D climacus and have been editing Wikipedia for quite some time. I just wanted to say hi and welcome you to Wikipedia! If you have any questions, feel free to leave me a message on my talk page or by typing {{helpme}} at the bottom of this page. I love to help new users, so don't be afraid to leave a message! I hope you like the place and decide to stay. Here are some pages that you might find helpful:

Speedy deletion nomination of File:Myimage123.jpg.JPG
[edit]A tag has been placed on File:Myimage123.jpg.JPG requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section I3 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is an image licensed as "for non-commercial use only," "non-derivative use" or "used with permission," it has not been shown to comply with the limited standards for the use of non-free content. [1], and it was either uploaded on or after 2005-05-19, or is not used in any articles. If you agree with the deletion, there is no need to do anything. If, however, you believe that this image may be retained on Wikipedia under one of the permitted conditions then:
- state clearly the source of the image. If it has been copied from elsewhere on the web you should provide links to: the image itself, the page which uses it and the page which contains the license conditions.
- add the relevant copyright tag.
If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}}
to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the page does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that they userfy the page or have a copy emailed to you. — raeky (talk | edits) 05:52, 23 August 2009 (UTC)
Speedy deletion nomination of File:Myimage124.jpg
[edit]A tag has been placed on File:Myimage124.jpg requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. Images
[edit]Hello Jan, and welcome to Wikipedia! I've noticed that you've uploaded an awful lot of images which you do not own (promotional photos for House, for instance). You may not be aware of all of Wikipedia's policies and guidelines, such as Wikipedia:Copyrights. Wikipedia is a free encyclopedia; we use non-free (i.e. copyrighted) content sparingly, only when absolutely necessary, and we always give credit to the owner of the content (in the case of the House promos, that would probably be FOX). I know your contributions have been in good faith, but the images you have uploaded will have to be deleted, as they are copyright violations. I hope you find the links above helpful (I encourage you to closely read the message David left you at the top of the page); if you have any comments or concerns, you can ask me, and the good people at the help desk would be more than happy to lend you a hand. Best, faithless (speak) 06:13, 23 August 2009 (UTC)
File copyright problem with File:Myimage124.jpg
[edit]Thank you for uploading File:Myimage124.jpg. However, it currently is missing information on its copyright status. Wikipedia takes copyright very seriously. It may be deleted soon, unless we can determine the license and the source of the file. If you know this information, then you can add a copyright tag to the image description page.
If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their license and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link.
If you have any questions, please feel free to ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thanks again for your cooperation. FASTILY (TALK) 18:29, 23 August 2009 (UTC)
Speedy deletion nomination of File:Anna popplewell-gal-kids08.jpg
[edit]A tag has been placed on File:Anna popplewell-gal-kids08.jpg requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section I7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is a non-free image with a clearly invalid licensing tag; or it otherwise fails some part of the non-free content criteria.
If you can find a valid tag that expresses why the image can be used under the fair use guidelines, please replace the current tag with that tag. If no such tag exists, please add the {{non-free fair use in|article name that the image is used in}} tag, along with a brief explanation of why this constitutes fair use of the image. If the image has been deleted, you can re-upload it, but please ensure you place the correct tag on it.
If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}}
to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. File source problem with File:Keynes Skandar 03.jpg
[edit]Thanks for uploading File:Keynes Skandar 03.jpg. I noticed that the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you did not create this file yourself, you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, then a link to the website from which it was taken, together with a restatement of that website's terms of use of its content, is usually sufficient information. However, if the copyright holder is different from the website's publisher, their copyright should also be acknowledged.
If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their source and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link. Unsourced and untagged images may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If the image is copyrighted under a non-free license (per Wikipedia:Fair use) then the image will be deleted 48 hours after 20:33, 23 August 2009 (UTC). If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Eluchil404 (talk) 20:32, 23 August 2009 (UTC)

Copyright problems with File:Randys0.jpg
[edit]Hello. Concerning your contribution, File:Randys0.jpg, please note that Wikipedia cannot accept copyrighted text or images obtained from other web sites or printed material, without the permission of the author(s). As a copyright violation, File:Randys0.jpg appears to qualify for deletion under the speedy deletion criteria. File:Randys0.jpg has been tagged for deletion, and may have been deleted by the time you see this message.
If you believe that the article or image is not a copyright violation, or if you have permission from the copyright holder to release the content freely under the Creative Commons Attribution/Share-Alike License (CC-BY-SA) then you should do one of the following:
- If you have permission from the author, leave a message explaining the details at File talk:Randys0.jpg and send an email with the message to "permissions-en (at) wikimedia (dot) org". See Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission for instructions.
- If a note on the original website states that re-use is permitted under the GNU Free Documentation License (GFDL) and CC-BY-SA, under CC-BY-SA, or released into the public domain leave a note at File talk:Randys0.jpg with a link to where we can find that note.
- If you hold the copyright to the material: send an e-mail from an address associated with the original publication to permissions-en(at)wikimedia(dot)org or a postal message to the Wikimedia Foundation permitting re-use under the CC-BY-SA and GFDL, and note that you have done so on File talk:Randys0.jpg.
However, for textual content, you may simply consider rewriting the content in your own words. While we appreciate contributions, we must require all contributors to understand and comply with our copyright policy. Wikipedia takes copyright concerns very seriously, and persistent violators will be blocked from editing. Thank you. (ESkog)(Talk) 18:56, 24 August 2009 (UTC)

Blocked
[edit]You have been blocked for continuing to steal other people's work and claim it as your own. The block is for a period of one week, because your response to the warning was apparently to upload as many copyrighted images as possible before you were caught, and it will take a while to clean up the mess. After your block expires, don't repeat this behavior, or you will quite frankly not be welcomed back to Wikipedia. (ESkog)(Talk) 21:33, 24 August 2009 (UTC)

[edit]Please do not replace Wikipedia pages with blank content, as you did to the page Governor of Connecticut. Blank pages are malicious to Wikipedia as they often confuse readers. If it is a duplicate article, please redirect it to an appropriate existing page. If the page has been vandalized, please revert it to the last legitimate revision. If you feel that the content of a page is inappropriate, please replace it with appropriate content. If you believe there is no hope for the page, please use the deletion process for how to proceed. Please refrain from making unconstructive edits to Wikipedia, as you did with this edit to the page Tennessee General Assembly. Such edits constitute vandalism and are reverted. [edit]Hello, I'm Arjayay. I wanted to let you know that I undid one or more of your recent contributions to Template:Royal and noble ranks because it did not appear constructive. If you would like to experiment, please use the sandbox. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. As explained when I reverted your last change to this template - you need to obtain consensus on the talk page before altering a template such as this. You have not even tried to obtain this consensus, let alone reached it - Arjayay (talk) 07:59, 4 June 2014 (UTC)
Please refrain from making unconstructive edits to Wikipedia, as you did at Template:Royal and noble ranks. Your edits appear to be disruptive and have been reverted or removed.
- If you are engaged in an article content dispute with another editor then please discuss the matter with the editor at their talk page, or the article's talk page. Alternatively you can read Wikipedia's dispute resolution page, and ask for independent help at one of the relevant notice boards.
- If you are engaged in any other form of dispute that is not covered on the dispute resolution page, please seek assistance at Wikipedia's Administrators' noticeboard/Incidents.
Please ensure you are familiar with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines, and please do not continue to make edits that appear disruptive, until the dispute is resolved through consensus. Continuing to edit disruptively could result in loss of editing privileges. Thank you.
As has repeatedly been explained - you need consensus before making such a change, and when you tried to get this, consensus was against the change. - Arjayay (talk) 08:29, 5 November 2014 (UTC)
