Hey, this is where you can ask me questions if you want. If you have questions about Wikipedia itself, your best bet might be the Teahouse, but otherwise, just click 'New Section', sign your name with those quadruple tildes ('~~~~'), and I'll get back to you when I can. It helps if you ping me. If you don't know how to do this, just copy and paste {{ping|TheTechnician27}}, {{re|TheTechnician27}}, or {{u|TheTechnician27}} before your message.

Declined speedy deletion: Orthonevra chilensis

[edit]

Hi, @TheTechnician27! I wanted to let you know that I declined your G12 speedy deletion nomination of Orthonevra chilensis. I pruned the copyright violations from the article, leaving it as a stub rather than deleting. Thank you! Significa liberdade (she/her) (talk) 01:16, 5 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]

@Significa liberdade: I thought the associated edit history also had to be removed due to copyright violation, or is that allowed to stay up? If that's the case, I can just prune these going forward. I appreciate your help. (Edit: Oh, you did remove the edit history.) TheTechnician27 (Talk page) 01:20, 5 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Hi! The edit history does need to be addressed. In the future, if an article has savable bits, you can prune the article, then request a revision deletion. I've gone ahead and done this already for the Orthonevra chilensis article. :) Significa liberdade (she/her) (talk) 01:22, 5 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Ah, okay, thank you very much! I've nominated five(?) other articles, and so I'll go ahead and fix those now. TheTechnician27 (Talk page) 01:24, 5 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]
You may also want to use User:Enterprisey/cv-revdel, which makes the final step of asking for the edit history to be deleted much easier. Cheers! -- asilvering (talk) 17:34, 6 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]

A tag has been placed on Category:Crabs of the Southern Ocean indicating that it is currently empty, and is not a disambiguation category, a category redirect, under discussion at Categories for discussion, or a project category that by its nature may become empty on occasion. If it remains empty for seven days or more, it may be deleted under section C1 of the criteria for speedy deletion.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and removing the speedy deletion tag. Liz Read! Talk! 16:36, 17 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]
