Hi.

When you update statistics please remember that you should also update the timestamps as of when the stats are correct. This is done by manually updating the date above or below the statistics table. By doing this we show when the stats were last updated and it prevents other editors from accidentally updating the stats again.

Please keep this in mind. Thank you. Qed237 (talk) 17:37, 10 December 2016 (UTC)[reply]

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Blue Derby requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about something invented/coined/discovered by the article's creator or someone they know personally, and it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time.

Hello, Badass Flare. It has been over six months since you last edited the Articles for Creation submission or Draft page you started, "sandbox".

In accordance with our policy that Wikipedia is not for the indefinite hosting of material deemed unsuitable for the encyclopedia mainspace, the draft has been nominated for deletion. If you plan on working on it further, or editing it to address the issues raised if it was declined, simply edit the submission and remove the {{db-afc}}, {{db-draft}}, or {{db-g13}} code.

If your submission has already been deleted by the time you get there, and you wish to retrieve it, you can request its undeletion by following the instructions at this link. An administrator will, in most cases, restore the submission so you can continue to work on it.

Notice

The article UAE Pro Era Rivalry has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

No sources verify that the 'rivalry' between these two teams is notable and not original research.

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. – Joe (talk) 09:03, 24 June 2018 (UTC)[reply]

UAE–Qatar rivalry moved to draftspace

[edit]

An article you recently created, UAE–Qatar rivalry, appears to rely on original research, which is against Wikipedia's policies. While the UAE and Qatar may indeed have a football rivalry, none of the sources currently attached to the article actually mention such a rivalry existing: three of the sources are about general diplomatic relations between Qatar and Gulf states, one of them mentions an incident at a U19 football game between the countries (but does not mention a rivalry), and two of the sources are just ELO rankings for the respective countries. Please provide citations to actual coverage of a football rivalry between these countries (non-English is fine) such that an article can be written on the subject without relying on synthesis or original research. Once this has been taken care of, feel free to move the article back to mainspace. signed, Rosguill talk 23:30, 3 January 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Maktoum Rashid Stadium

I'm 100% sure it's the Rashid Stadium because every single AFC official guides and the current match between Palestine and Australia is currently being played there. They aren't the same stadium but they are both owned by the same club Shabab Al Ahli as the two clubs Al Shabab and Al Ahli merged in 2017, two years after UAE won the bid for the 2019 Asian Cup in 2015. Zaid Al-Ameri moved to draftspace

[edit]

An article you recently created, Zaid Al-Ameri, does not have enough sources and citations as written to remain published. It needs more citations from reliable, independent sources. (?) Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. When you feel the article meets Wikipedia's general notability guideline and thus is ready for mainspace, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page. List of cities in the United Arab Emirates

[edit]

Hi there! I saw you edited the page List of cities in the United Arab Emirates by changing the population number of the city of Dubai from over 3 million residents to over 1 million, with the reason of it being the true cities population instead of the emirates. I was wondering if you had any source. The source which was already mentioned in the article uses outdated information, because the city of Dubai already had a population of over 1 million in 2005. Dubai as a city actually does have a population of over 3 million residents as the emirate doesn't have any other cities, only a few towns which together have not more than 20.000 residents. A tag has been placed on File:Zabeel Stadium (night).jpg requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section F9 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the file appears to be a blatant copyright infringement. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images taken from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators will be blocked from editing.

If the image belongs to you, and you want to allow Wikipedia to use it — which means allowing other people to use it for any reason — then you must verify that externally by one of the processes explained at Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials. The same holds if you are not the owner but have their permission. If you are not the owner and do not have permission, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission for how you may obtain it. You might want to look at Wikipedia's copyright policy for more details, or ask a question here.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Al Shabab --> Shabab Al-Ahli Dubai

[edit]

Hello, first of all I would like to thank you for your great contributions in UAE articles, especially football related. But I noticed that you're actively transferring the historic achievements of Al Shabab Al Arabi Club Dubai to Shabab Al-Ahli Dubai FC, I don't recall there was any official decisions to transfer any local/regional titles to Shabab Al-Ahli Dubai FC from the former clubs, maybe I'm out of the loop and a official decree was issued, I hope if you can shed some light on this. Thanks UA3 (talk) 07:08, 15 September 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Sorry for my edit in the GCC Champions League but in the official Shabab Al Ahli website, they have combined their trophy count in most of their competitions so i thought it would make sense to add Al Shabab Al Arabi Club Dubai achievements with Shabab Al Ahli. However they only combined their domestic success so i'm going to save myself the trouble and leave out their continental achievements as separate. I apologize for my mistakes. Badass Flare (talk) 17:03, 15 September 2019 (UTC)[reply]
Hello, we can discuss this in your talk page, don't worry I'm monitoring. As for the the edit in GCC Champions League I know it's just a little misunderstanding, also I think the whole combining of the trophies is another big issue, after checking around, I found out that the UAEFA approved combining the titles two years ago, but IFFHS said[1] it's wrong and illegal, I don't know which one should we follow, I find it strange to attribute the titles of one club to another rival club, it just doesn't make any sense, what's your take in this? UA3 (talk) 13:35, 15 September 2019 (UTC)[reply]
I'm not confident about what to do for now, so for my take i think this situation is a giant asterisk for now, i think it would be easier if we only combine their domestic success since UAEFA is okay with this, however let's not combine their international success since IFFHS isn't okay with it. For now this situation will be an *, unless if the IFFHS change their mind in the future and allows them to combine their international success, i guess we're going to go with combine domestic success only for now. Badass Flare (talk) 22:01, 15 September 2019 (UTC)[reply]
I totally agree with you, I suggest wherever the number of combined trophies is mentioned we can add a note using Template:Note, Thanks. UA3 (talk) 03:17, 16 September 2019 (UTC)[reply]

An article you recently created, Al Nasr FC in Asian football, is not suitable as written to remain published. It needs more citations from reliable, independent sources. (?) Your recent editing history at United Arab Emirates national football team shows that you are currently engaged in an edit war; that means that you are repeatedly changing content back to how you think it should be, when you have seen that other editors disagree. To resolve the content dispute, please do not revert or change the edits of others when you are reverted. Instead of reverting, please use the talk page to work toward making a version that represents consensus among editors. The best practice at this stage is to discuss, not edit-war. See the bold, revert, discuss cycle for how this is done. If discussions reach an impasse, you can then post a request for help at a relevant noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases, you may wish to request temporary page protection.

Being involved in an edit war can result in you being blocked from editing—especially if you violate the three-revert rule, which states that an editor must not perform more than three reverts on a single page within a 24-hour period. Undoing another editor's work—whether in whole or in part, whether involving the same or different material each time—counts as a revert. Also keep in mind that while violating the three-revert rule often leads to a block, you can still be blocked for edit warring—even if you do not violate the three-revert rule—should your behavior indicate that you intend to continue reverting repeatedly. Ok

[edit]

Hi, @Badass Flare:, firstly, I want to apologize for being coercive and make you frustrated when editing with you on the United Arab Emirates national football team page. The fact is, i want to say that I really just want good things. We need to cooperate instead of being hostile and mistrust.

So I have a question. Why don't we try something different, making it more exciting?

I feel that how this Wiki page is edited really affects what is happening in real life, including the performance of the UAE team.

I noticed that when I started making edits changing the article to a new style (the layout/format/style that I'm advising you to follow) instead of keeping the previous format, the UAE team changed a lot, their playing style and performance is different now and much better. They are strengthened and make more wins. Do you think this is a coincidence? I doubt so. It seems that how the page is edited really affect the team.

You can compare the matches of the team before I started making edits in 2020 with the ones after that. They are very different, the association football team plays differently and much better.

UAE is more badass, strengthened team now when you get rid of the old format. I noticed that you just re-add the Honours section as well as restoring some old content. They are un-necessary. The old layout will drag the team behind. Don't be stubborn, old-fashioned and stuck with the old structure of the page, try something different.

You need to trust me and follow my edits. I can't edit the page anymore because it is being protected. Now you are the only hope. UAE has a match against Thailand tomorrow. You need to act quickly to make sure that the team win. You need to restore the Revision as of 00:37 6 June 2021 by Rosguil version of the page. Then you can make updates and don't edit anything else other than stuff like statistic updates and match results update. Keep it in the style that I proposed.

Do You have Facebook or something like that? We can chat outside because this Wikipedia's talk page is very slow to discuss.59.153.253.70 (talk) 11:39, 6 June 2021 (UTC)[reply]

While I am glad that you apologized for the disruption, I do not believe the Wikipedia page has actually effected the results in the pitch, your edits were done all the way back in October 2020 and the team not only lost to Uzbekistan and Bahrain, they later sacked their coach and re-hired their previous one. Did the team really improve when they had to re-hire the manager that put them in a bad position in the first place? Not to mention the page was protected during the Malaysia match. If anything the UAE peforming good again has more to do with them getting rid of older players that were either not great anymore or out of form (Khalid Eisa, Ahmed Khalil and Omar Abdulrahman are some notable examples), even if they were to lose to Thailand tomorrow, the Wikipedia page won't play a massive role in deciding the future of the national team. Badass Flare (talk) 13:21, 6 June 2021‎ (UTC)[reply]

@Badass Flare:

1. Firstly, when the team lost to Bahrain and Uzbekistan, even if they lost, they have shown change in their playing style and signs of improvement. I have fully watched both of these matches and I knew it. The very first edits from me before these matches are very basic, minor and unfinished and therefore the article hadn't changed much. After those matches, I have continued to make more major edits and the article has changed a lot more. Furthermore, the edits happens just some days before those matches and the time is too little to affect anything considerably. 2. "Did the team really improve when they had to re-hire the manager that put them in a bad position in the first place?" Do you know why they sacked coach Pinto? It's because I make more edits after these matches and the situation has changed because of that. UAEFA's mind is affected indirectly by the article's change. They have made a good decision. And guess what? Re-hire the previous manager who "put them in a bad position in the first place" (according to your view) is exactly the sign showing that the team has improved, they have made a good decision by choosing a reasonable option. Now do you see how the re-hired coach is performing? He's doing his job better than the past, choosing another new coach wouldn't have been as successful as re-choosing the old but experienced manager. 3. When the team lost to BHR and UZB, the team has already get rid of Abdulrahman, Eisa and Khalil .Why hasn't they performed better and still lose? 4. If the page hasn't been protected during Malaysia match in my proposed layout/version, you would have continue to insert your favored edits, the team probably wouldn't have performed as good as what has happened. 5. You hardly get my point. I have a lot to reasoning with you but as I have said, I really want to discuss with you using a different website suitable for chatting like Facebook, you need to create a Facebook account if you don't have one and give me its name then we can make friends and start talking. It's really inconvenient for me to talk with you here. 113.185.44.144 (talk) 22:54, 6 June 2021 (UTC)[reply]

1. Khaled Eisa played in both matches against Bahrain and Uzbekistan but the other two didn't. The squad in both games still have different defenders than the squad against Malaysia and Jordan. 2. UAEFA re hired Bert van because there was no one else available at the time and COVID-19 restricted travel for other coaches to get in here. 3. Malaysia played so badly that I can't think of any other way UAE could have lost or drawn, Malaysia was just the weaker team. 4. I understood your point fully 5. No i don't have a facebook, do you other any other website that isn't facebook? Badass Flare (talk) 11:28, 7 June 2021 (UTC)[reply]

@Badass Flare: Right now it's very urgent because the matches are keep on coming. You need to act quickly. Temporarily restore the article to the version at 00:37 6 June 2021 by Rosguil. This version has stayed for months, restore it doesn't do any harm. It's just temporary during these qualification matches , after this we can discuss if you don't agree or understand anything.

I can only think of Facebook as the best option. It's the most common chat web. You can search for Facebook on google, click on the website and register an account, this required that you have a gmail. Then you tell me your account's nickname here and I will invite you to make friends, then we can start talking there. You need to open facebook every time you are online and tell me the time that you are online. You need to do this now.59.153.253.65 (talk) 14:29, 7 June 2021 (UTC)[reply]

I am very sorry, but I don't have the time to start a facebook account but I appreciate the invite. Badass Flare (talk) 16:14, 7 June 2021 (UTC)[reply]

@Badass Flare:. Starting a Facebook account take no more than 10 minutes and you say that you don't have time?

Listen, I'm not joking, alright? I'm serious and want to help. I've watch matches for years and the senses don't lie. Wiki article does affect the team. This is not some magical or spiritual crap, this is scientific and is real. The article is the image of the team and the team's style and mind is somehow affected by it. I want to develop a team to a different level. I have work hard and spend a lot of over the past months in the article to come to this point.

As you can see, UAE has won Thailand yesterday but it didn't play as good as vs Malaysia. This is because you restore the old layout and make other bad edits. Thailand draws Indonesia and is weaker than Malaysia.

We don't have any more chances, alright?. This 2022 WC qualification is the last chance we have. I want to make sure UAE win the rest two matches vs Indonesia and Vietnam. If you keep your layout and bad edits, this team may not lose to Indonesia but I'm 90% sure it will lose to Vietnam, who is very confident and hard-to-beat at the moment. You will need a cool-headed and intelligent team to defeat a team like that.

Here's are quick and basic requirements when you edit this article if you want to make sure the team is strengthened: 1. You must make sure the content is neutral, the words are neutral. 2. You must make the article short and concise. 3. You must edit according to the new proposed layout and style.

There are other things. Once you've access Facebook, I will explain more and we can discuss easily on anything about the team and the article. 59.153.253.68 (talk) 04:01, 8 June 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Chance

[edit]

@Badass Flare:, you're the only one that can help now. I don't know how busy you are, what job you're doing. But this is the most important time we have here. If you don't spend time on this, you'll regret. It all depends on you now, I can't do anything, this is for the common good, if you don't do, things will turn bad and it'll be late. Facebook is easy and quick to create. If you really can't use it, just give me a time that you are online in Wikipedia so we can discuss consistently instead of waiting for each other to reply like this. 59.153.254.165 (talk) 02:23, 10 June 2021 (UTC)[reply]

I don't understand, you're Vietnamese but you want the UAE to win by editing their wikipedia page? You do realize how confusing you sound do you? Badass Flare (talk) 07:45, 10 June 2021 (UTC)[reply]
@Badass Flare:, I'm not Vietnamese. I travels to and lives in some Southeast Asian countries including Thailand, Vietnam and Cambodia. I currently lives in Vietnam. I do learned some Vietnamese and knows these people well. The Vietnamese are very arrogant. If the Vietnam's team wins, these Vietnamese will be very high and comments about how strong and unbeatable their team is, they will mock the opponent who lost to them, it's shown in the newspapers. The reason for their arrogance and confidence is this Vietnam's team is in an unbeaten streak and have developed over the past two years. If you learned Vietnamese language and read the comments, you will be very angry and want to beat-them-up. You won't want any teams to lost to them to allow them to continue expressing their arrogance-ness. Some other ASEAN teams like Malaysia, Thailand are also arrogant too but they have been defeated.

Uae wins Thailand in last match but its playing style is not as coherent as vs Malaysia. Just compare the two matches, you will see that the team play worse. Why? The reason is that you returns the article's to its old layout which has more sections and is more messy than the new style that I have developed. This affects and make the team's playing style less coherent and less organized. Now UAE team returns to a generic, unorganized team like many other teams. It just lost its unique strength.

As I have said, you need to restore the last version of the article which is edited and protected by Rosguil. Then, you can re-add the match updates and new statistics. Don't edit anything else other than that, don't add more sections and any un-necessary, repeated and non-neutral content like Honours, Nicknames,... etc. Leave the article's version/layout and content as exactly as what I have developed. If anyone changes it you must temporarily revert them. 59.153.238.128 (talk) 13:13, 10 June 2021 (UTC)[reply]

I understand what you mean but so far the article doesn't seem too biased and the UAE plays well right now so i doubt we need to restore anything. I just have a question, when the article is no longer protected, will you take matter's to your own hands and change everything again? Badass Flare (talk) 21:03, 11 June 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Chance (2)

[edit]

@Badass Flare:, I am not forcing or demanding you, I'm trying to persuade you on what I said. If this is not true I wouldn't have wasting that much time here. I already knew you would not believe it at first but this is not "weird assumption", this is what I have researched over months and is very credible.

It's not just me, it's van Marwijk who said that UAE plays with Thailand and Indonesia is not as strong as vs Malaysia. In both matches against Thailand and Indonesia, despite winning, UAE plays not as cohesive and intelligent as vs Malaysia or in the friendly matches before this qualification campaign, they win relying more on stamina rather than technique. More to say, Thailand and Indonesia don't have the best squads and are weaker than Malaysia.

You notice an unprecedented change in UAE style? It is developing a new destructive attacking style that we have never seen on this team before,...maybe even better than Japan, Iran, ... It would be great. Before I edited the article, the team's playing style is highly unorganized and generic. Now it have powerful coordination and plans. The players plays better and improve their strategic mind.

"you might as well as make put your layout on the North Macedonian national team and they will still not win the euros"... How do you know that they won't win the Euros? We haven't try that yet. How do you know for sure that they won't win?

Arrogant teams like Thailand, Malaysia, Indonesia have been defeated. Now you have to make sure Vietnam, the most arrogant team of them all, is defeated too. Yesterday they have a lucky win against Malaysia and their fans already shouting out loud that they will beat you. They think they are on the same level with Japan and better than every Western Asian enemies. They has not been taught a lesson to see their true level. This opponent that must be defeated with a score as big as possible. You can't let them have another match that make them happy and having illusions about their team's strength. You must try its best and it will be good if you can stop their team from reaching the 3rd round qualification.

Come on, there is only 1 match left. This match is the only opportunity. The current version of the article still have un-necessary sections with some biased content. This will prevent the team from obtaining their best power. At least, restore and hold the new layout until after match vs Vietnam, you will see how it go. The change is not "drastic", it's only about 150 bytes difference, mainly rename and reorganize sections and remove bias stuff. The article is also nicer and neater in the new layout. 113.185.40.175 (talk) 09:57, 12 June 2021 (UTC)[reply]

November 2022

[edit]

Hi there - Wikipedia relies on reliable sources to verify information, especially about living people. You didn't provide a source for your changes to the Kamel Lemoui article, and I couldn't find one either. If you have a reliable source please let me know and we can change the article. Please let me know if you have any questions. GiantSnowman 20:28, 1 November 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Lemoui seemed to have a long list of clubs in his managerial career according to the https://www.transfermarkt.com/kamel-lemoui/profil/trainer/45078. I made a mistake but it turns out he coached Sharjah, not Al Nasr during the 1993-1994 season, however he still had a tenure at the UAE. Badass Flare (talk) 06:28, 2 November 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Hello! Voting in the 2022 Arbitration Committee elections is now open until 23:59 (UTC) on Monday, 12 December 2022. All eligible users are allowed to vote. Users with alternate accounts may only vote once.

The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. This includes the authority to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail.

La Liga academy HPC moved to draftspace

[edit]

An article you recently created, La Liga academy HPC, is not suitable as written to remain published. It needs more in-depth coverage about the subject itself, with citations from reliable, independent sources in order to show it meets WP:GNG. It should have at least three. And please remember that interviews, as primary sources, do not count towards GNG.(?) Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. When you feel the article meets Wikipedia's general notability guideline and thus is ready for mainspace, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page.Onel5969 TT me 14:09, 21 February 2023 (UTC)[reply]
